Hey Guys

I am one of the Applicant's for PPR.

I got my AOR January-2019
Documents submitted- 31st Jan'2019
Medical-Jan'19
Biometrics-March'19

Decision was due today 31st July 2019. Unfortunately there has been no movement on my profile.

I order GCMS notes, the last update I can see is of 10th April 2019 as PreUV varified.

I contacted Mr. Goodale's office. The response that I got is as below:

Quote"
Dear Amber – I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Jan 31, 2019. It is at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Eligibility and security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Criminality passed.

Medicals are valid until Feb 2020.
Unquote"

Does anyone has the hold of current situation of PPR release. So that I can keep my hopes accordingly.

Also could this delay be due to seasonality. As at this time many students would be applying education visa for September session.

If any one can share their thoughts it will be a help.

Thanks.

A lot of us have the same status. We are all awaiting POR email. The good thing is many are getting their OOR everyday and it’s only a matter of time before you too get yours. Stay patient and don’t worry.

6-8months is now normal :)

Hello All,

I got my passport verified and the next step is to get 'landing done'. Currently, I reside in Toronto and plan to travel to the USA in two weeks time. My query is whether I can do 'landing' on my way back to Canada from the USA and which documents should I keep with myself?
COPR? My friend entered USA for a few mins and then got back to Canada .. he had his COPR

Is it true that those with eligibility and Security not initiated are those that their Medicals will expire in Dec or January 2020.
So CIC is not bothering with those applications as they still have time before their medicals expire?
It’s just a process which many don’t know of. They will eventually get to your application and possibly clear it in a few days. Maybe that’s why they don’t rush. You shouldn’t worry too :)

Thanks a lot! I'm still having a hard time believing this though, if the application was approved wouldn't they send the golden email automatically? What else are they waiting for?

EDIT:

I just called IRRC and they confirmed again that my application was approved (also discovered it was approved Jul 24th, same day I got my ghost update).

They said I should receive my confirmation email this or next week. Very excited right now!
I never had a single doubt .. congratulations and for all of us, this is always good news!

I just spoke to an IRCC agent and she explained to me the Review Require means that the officer reviewing your document just wants to double check something or that they want to ask for a second opinion from another officer. She explained that as long as they don't ask for any additional documents then you shouldn't have to worry as it is quite common. She stressed that they are trying to be as thorough with the applications as possible so that might be why.
Don’t worry, this is very normal procedure.. you will hear from IRCC soon (;

The good thing is they are looking into your file

Hi everyone,
my AOR is 18 Jan and I just got a reply from Ralph's office this morning:

***
Dear *** – I spoke to IRCC regarding your application in Edmonton.

I have good news – it has been approved.

Notification and instructions will be sent in the coming weeks.

Medicals are valid until Oct/19.
***

I still haven't received the golden email and my account remains without any updates (apart from a GU last week). Has anyone gotten a similar reply? How long did it take to receive the PPR after this?

Thanks!
What is your VO?
