you will either get email or a letter by mail but not both and it all depends on the local IRCC office. Some offices uses email to send invites whereas some uses mail/post. ECAS status update is again an optional thing. I have seen many people ECAS status being updated on this forum whereas my ECAS never had any status update for test invite. So that is again I think local IRCC office thing.

We've done the test today in Ottawa and my wife, and I have passed.
After the interview though the officer said that security isn't done and might take 6-8 months! I asked her if this is what she tells all applicants and she said 'No.'

Seriously, what's happening here?!

I did read somewhere that the clearances are valid for one year only and they should cover the whole processing period (till you do your oath) maybe it will be more than one year since you applied till your oath so they should order a new check...when you did apply?

does somebody know if some of Mississauga applications are processed in Scarborough? a friend of mine got his test invitation from Scarbrough although he lives in Mississauga!!!

normally that happens if application flow is more in a center. The local IRCC office tends to transfer some of the applications to neighbouring IRCC office with less workload in order to distribute it equally and faster processing.

Hi everyone
I was requested to submit FP on 27th april which were sent out on 1 May, there has been no progress since then on my application. I had sent out a web request a month ago and they responded back saying every thing is in order. But i still havent heard anything since then. any one else who hasn't received any response since then?
