This forum, for all the really good things it does, also has a negative side. Some people who are desperate for information are looking at some other postings, and the moment that someone who has a later date than theirs shares a result, they immediately go into full panic mode and assume that something has gone horribly wrong with their own application. This explains the so called "lost" October applications. There's a possibility that some may actually be lost, but I'd bet the vast majority are simply slightly delayed for any one of a million possible reasons, and there's nothing at all to be concerned about.
Remember this important thing about statistics - an "average" does not automatically mean that you will see a similar result for yourself. If the average is 45 days, and there are some people who got results in 5 days, then that means there also could be some people who got 80 days. You could be one of those people, and it doesn't mean anything went wrong. Also remember that this forum is a small sample size, and is bias towards being populated by people who have had issues in the past (that's why they sought out help with a forum in the first place in many cases). And lastly, the processing order is a general guide as to when you might expect progress in your own application but is not a strict schedule. Outliers will exist. Don't panic.
