7 months passed for me too.Very interesting conversation that I had with the IRCC call centre agent. He said that “you have been ordering gcms notes every now and then and thas stalled the processing of your application”

This is confusing!!! I have ordered atleast 5 notes till today and this is the second time a call centre person is telling me this.

Any of u who have passed the 6 months timeline ordered many gcms notes?

Wow! I have just ordered it once. I thought it could only help move our files forward not the other way around!!!

I have ordered gcms notes only once , that also after 7 months were passed since aor.

I raised a CSE on 6 August and have received the response just an hour before.
It is generalized response, which they send to everyone . I have seen this many times while scrolling on candavisa forum website.
So, its nothing new. But enough to encourage me for some more wait.

Yes you are very right.
This is canned message.
They cannot actually tell us where our application is currently present and what actions have been taken on it. What steps in procedure are left and when the final decision will be made.
If we email them, we get response after 30 days.
If we call them and we are lucky, we may get an agent to talk to us after wait of one hour.
If we order gcms, we need to wait for another 30 long days. Wow.
So there is no way out for us. At All.
Really a big shame.

Dear PB and others.
I am neither getting negative thoughts nor I am a negative thinking person.
But I think that we may have to wait for another six months. I hope that I may prove wrong, but what I felt I just expressed.
If we people can make our mind to wait for this long, then the wait will not kill us at least, as it is currently doing with us.
I pray for speedy PR of all of us.
But just keep the extremes in your mind. Please.

That’s the right thing you heard from the agent. In the period of fast processing, ordering more gcms notes can put pressure on the GCMS department to obtain the original info from your relevant visa office. And Officers also want to control that what information can be released or not. Please try to reduce the order gcms notes

On a positive note, called CIC yesterday and learnt that i passed my eligibility. The case officer has sent it for start of background check. Finally there has been a movement in my file. I did order my first GCMS notes on 4th Aug (after 6 months passed from AOR), so feels like my file was touched after the order of notes. Can't be certain about it, but happy there was some kind of progress. This also means security check has not yet started and pray it does not take too long.

Wow you are really following up closely with CIC. Hope your application starts moving fast. I did not order any notes, did not call/ email CIC after AOR.

I'm counting almost 8 months of waiting, stuck on criminality check for 2 months now (no idea why, I feel they forgot my application hanging there). Called CIC 5 or 6 times now, but never ordered any kind of notes.
