Canada post found our package, (Package sent January 7) With old forms :$
Now acooding to them it is impossible to stop it, and send it back to me. So It will arrived to Mississagua with the old forms
Any advise?
How long will take to CIC return the application?

I am about to file an application to sponsor my Wife. She is in India. I have a very small doubt. Do we need to send the forms for sponsor and person to be sponsored together to the CIC address in Ottawa?

I know its small but I need a clarity. Thanks in advance.

My husband received email finally from cic for SA and my application forwarded as well in Manila VO last feb 3 im so happy until now I cant believe it takes 3 days only to approve my husband sponsorship anyway I am hoping and praying for all of us to get there SA also now im waiting for AOR2..

That is a tough scenario. We sent ours with the old forms through courier on January 25th and it arrived January 26th! So we luckily made the cutoff for people using the old forms which is by January 31st!

As for what they will do in that scenario? That is a tough one. Chances are they will send it back OR if your lucky, they will process some old forms if they are allowing a "mail by Canada Post grace period".

Everything is sent together in one package. And the CIC address you send to is in Mississauga. Just read the instructions carefully and all the information is there.

I am the wrong person to ask. I hear some have tried but have struggled to get through.

I am sure other members who have tried will chime in and give you feedback.

Same here. Application received and signed by David on Jan 11. Nothing happened since then and I tried to link my account everyday.........but failed.

Can anyone tell me if we will receive any emails from them, what will be the "From" field show? Want to know how it will read so I will pay 500% attention to it (even though I already did). Thx.

Here is some info for those of you who are trying to link your paper applications to ECAS or CIC. We were not able to link to CIC or ECAS before we got our AOR email. I tried every day on both sites.

For CIC, this is what worked for us:
What program did you apply for?
(Required)
Permanent Residence
Family Class (Spouses)
Application details
(Required)
We used Application number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) of Primary Applicant
Place of Birth
(Required)
Primary Applicant's info
Passport
(Not required)
Left blank - we were not able to link with this part filled in even after we got our Application # and our UCI
Provide the following information entered on the application.
(Required)
Info we provided on our application.
Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application
For 1 sponsor and 1 Primary applicant = 2

For ECAS:
Identification Type
Client ID # (I had been using the receipt number before we got this with no luck)
Surname/Date of Birth/Place of birth
all Sponsor's info

Had a photo of my spouses passport and I guess they need a photocopy and also a copy of his baptismal certificate. Anybody here know where to get baptismal certificate from Haiti? :
