My App was returned Yesterday for 3 reasons:

1. They are asking for imm5562 for my wife ( PA ) which applies to Afghan residents. she was born in Afghanistan, but has been living in Sweden since 2003 and she is Swedish Citizen. ( which really doesn't make sense)

2. Birth Certificate for Principal Applicant and all of her family missing.. she was born in Afghanistan where we don't have Birth Certificates

3. Marriage Certificate, we got married in Ontario.. i sent the original registration.. they refused that.. asking for marriage certificate.. :( :(

did they sent the whole package or asking for these docs only ?

No, I did not receive any communication. FYI.. I was barred from linking the application since I exceeded the limit (5 times in 24 hours) of incorrect attempts. I waited and then finally I was able to link it. Soon after linking, I got an email confirming that it was successful.

icewizard has explained it in simple words. I followed his instructions. Refer page # 22 on this forum.

My application was received today. I'm hoping that all goes well!
My husband did not submit his meds or PCC. How long after receiving the package did they request that info?

The PCC and background declaration should be requested when you're able to link to MyCIC for the first time.

No idea about the medical. That probably depends on which VO it ends up going to.

I am preparing the application, please suggest on the following:

Please suggest which is better (a) 4 x 6 inch Photographs and information written at its back or (b) images and details in word document ?

I went with the first option.

I was able to link my account since jan 19th but till now they didnt ask for pcc and background form. And the status still application recieved and open and the sponsor side still in process

Is that normal ????

That's probably normal. While the basic guide says you should see the request right away after linking, it's possible that it's dependent on some other factor (like AOR1, even if you haven't received the e-mail). You guys are basically guinea pigs at this point, so it's hard to say for sure.

For the birth certificate, you only need it for family members I.E. Your wife and her dependents, not her parents and siblings. That is official definition of "family members". My husband also didn't have birth certificate since he is hilltribe from Thailand. But, since birth certificate is mandatory and not optional, we submitted a affidavit of birth that we had witnessed and signed by a notary public. It had details of his birth date, location, parents name, etc. Hope that helps.

Im SA with no AOR 1 :)

Patience patience guys :)

I am almost identical timing to Shajnemj. Application signed for on Jan 11, I received sponsor approval on Feb 1, "in progress" on Jan 23rd on ECAS, and no AOR1 received. So... All those waiting a long time for AOR1 might be surprised to receive the SA directly with no AOR1!

Hello guys,

I hope you're doing well and your application is going as smoothly, sweetly, and quickly as possible.

On my side i was just wondering if i didn't have just a bit of luck... This morning my wife was approved as a sponsor and that my application has been forwarded to Paris for further processing...

So i tried linking my application to the CIC website, which i thought wasn't working, or wasn't yet entered into the system... After 3 failures, i tried a 4th time, with the following info,

  • Family Name: Surname
  • First Name: First'name [my first name have an apostrophe]
  • Birth Date: 1980 January 01 (example date hehe)
  • Birth City: (i entered a space in this field)
  • Birth Country: Country
  • Intended Province of Residence: Province (refer to your answer of question 5 in IMM 0008)
  • Intended City of Province of Residence: City (refer to your answer of question 5 in IMM 0008)
  • Marital Status : Married
  • Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application: 2 (which included myself as the principal applicant, and my wife)

And tada! It worked!!! I was wondering if i didn't manage to link my application just in time...

But i can see that there is a 4 seconds between the date submitted field in the application record (for example February 2, 2017 09:00:00 EST) and the linked time (in this case February 2, 2017 09:00:04 EST)...

Is it really me who got lucky to link my application just 4 seconds after it was entered in the system or is everybody kind of the same thing?

Sounds so fascinating and lucky 04 sec is cool ....Glad to knw that you have linked ur application..
Mine was received on 31-01-17 do you have any idea how many days do they take to put one in system...???

So excited to see our application up there..... Hope everything goes well and quite with all of us here...

Dear All,

I have 2 questions, Appreciate your reply for the same.

My husband is Canadian and he is sponsoring me. Me being principal applicant requested for the Police Certificate and Medical Reports later upon requested by the CIC. Now my question is the new forms says please provide the birth certificates and Medicals of your self and family above 18 (accompanying and non accompanying.) Do i have to provide BCs and PCCs of my parents and siblings as well??

and i also requested in my earlier posts if anyone has submitted the Out-land application as per new changes?? pls lemme know.

Appreciate your advice.

Thanks

As per my Knowledge its just for u....not for parents and siblings...So far that what we did ...
