hi Members,

need some INFO, I will be travelling in May for a 3 months vacation. How do i Inform about my travel plans , calling the call center and informing is the only option or are there any other options. Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

Me and my wife just passed the test today with 20/20 of mine. Interview was just to cross check the original documents of the photocopies that we have provided during the application. CIC official was asking me if I'm interested to take oath on Canada day but I said, earlier would be better since we'd like to become Canadian Citizen before Canada day. We were 6 people together appeared for test and interview and we all said the same answer that we want it in May. Later CIC official said she can't promise but she will try her best to arrange the OATH ceremony in May, else it might be in July 1st. Let's wait to hear from them. Finger crossed. And thanks to this forum folks for proper help and guidance.

Status changed to DM this morning for me and my wife but still seeing In Process for my daughter. Don't they change the status of kids?

I think it's normal. It happened with me also today. Last month I read few posts mentioning their kids status did not change to DM as well. Oath invites are expected for kids in the same envelope.

Police clearance

Hey Guys!

Has anyone gotten any police clearance done from another country? I might need to get one from India for my application but I wanna make sure of the process and the time that would take. Any help or tips appreciated.

I got a request for FP....> i got it done at local police station ... >I got FP from RCMP ....> I post it to CIC ... >Canad post deliver it to CIC office ... > surprisingly online status is still showing only 3 lines and IP since 28 Jan .... > no mention of FP request or status ....

status of FP is not shown in eCAS.
Why don't you do an inquiry via your MP, and/or call CIC Call Centre ??
Or order your electronic GCMS case notes (google if u need help on this)

Ideally your ecas will update to Oath letter sent before you receive the physical letter.
