I have a question i tried searching for it in the forum, but i only found after the citizenship test not before
The question is :
I have one or two stamps in my passport that are in arabic language
I noticed in the CIC website they mentioned to photo copy the biography pages only of the passport

Does anyone has any idea what should i do in this case if i have arabic stamps ?

Hi Raj,

Incase of sending ID's for your minor, keep in mind that the ID's should have a picture, personal identification like name and date of Birth.

Personal Identifications are:
- PR card
- Passport
- School ID's
- Health card ID

Anyone has any idea what should be the probably cool explanation if there are any gaps in time in the validity period of your passports or travel documents for the six (6) years immediately before the date of your application or since you became a permanent resident. I found there is a gap of 4 months of my wife's passport. We needed to get new passport for her but completely forgot to apply on time - lack of ignorance. What should be the good explanation folks?

In my case my Passport got expired last year July 11, 2016 and never renewed it as in never. So if ever I include an explanatory letter I probably gonna tell them that "I never had a plan to go out Canada that is why I never renewed my Passport". But I didn't include any letter. Also my husband and my friends told me nothing to worry.

My Passport info was:

July 11, 2011- got my passport back home
Dec 25, 2012- My arrival in Canada (port of entry Vancouver)
July 11, 2016- expires (never renewed till now)


Jan 2, 2017 -- applied for citizenship (used my expired passport)

Hey 0jenifer0..your case is different..you didn't renew it..in my wife's case there is a gap of 4 months between 2 passport...is not your case for sure

Hahaha you're right we're complete different my apology. I think on your explanatory letter just Be Honest and tell them the truth why it has 4 months gap.

Just include photocopy of the the biographical page -that means the page that has your name, photo, passport/travel document number, issue date and expiration date.

Are these arabic stamps from your travels?

I got the AOR on Jan,28 and In process status on Jan 31

When was your application sent and when was it received by them?

We are people of free will. We don't renew our passports if we don't need them especially if we don't travel much. Just write the explanation why she didn't renew her passport

What I did is attaching a translation of each page in my passport to my application.
I did the translation myself.

This is not needed during the application time. Since all what they are asking for is the page that has your face in. But, I think you may need the translation of each stamp during the interview. I am not there yet so I don't know for sure

Anyone! when receive test invitation letter by snail mail. Do they send citizenship book with it or not?
