Hey everyone!

So I submitted my PR application ten days ago, have been having nightmares since then lol ;D

lucky your nightmare will last 6 months. Pre-Express entry nightmares have been on for over 14 months now.

Re: January 2016 FSW applicants

You just made me laugh, thanks for helping relieve my stress!

And this is my timeline btw:
15th Dec 2015 - EE Profile created
17th Dec 2015 - OINP Expression of Interest received (Didn't apply)
18th Dec 2015 - ITA received
30th Dec 2015 - Upfront Medicals done
04th Jan 2016 - PR App submitted
04th Jan 2016 - 1st AOR received
07th Jan 2016 - Request letter Schedule A
8th Jan 2016 - Document submitted
8th Jan 2016 - Medicals passed
10th Jan 2016 - BG Check went from "In Progress" to "Not needed at this time"

I wonder why, nothing since then

Forgot to mention: I didn't submit a reference letter under my NOC 5125, my employer verbally refused to give me one. I explained this in a cover letter and attached copies of my pay stubs for the last 6 months, work contract and document certifying i've been employed for 6 years. Just don't know if those will be enough. What are the chances for my application to be rejected? It's really giving me nightmares...

it's been just 10 days. you need to go for a long vacation of around 3 months, by then you should receive something from them.

I haven't heard anything from them for 4 months now, and that too came after a gap of 4.5 months.

You should receive you PPR, if all goes well by July 2016.

Not having a reference letter could be an issue, but since you have given them other evidence supporting your work experience it should be fine. However expect a site visit or telephonic verification. I am certain that you will have some kind of verification. Hope this helps.

I suspect there was someone who came for a visit on Friday at the office, but I didn't meet the person. A colleague only told me a white lady came looking for me, strange that I didn't receive a call or even see her since I was there all day. I'm mentioning this because I don't know any white person obviously and I wasn't expecting any visit. Funny again that she didn't leave a message or give her contact information to the security officers at the front desk. This has been bugging me since yesterday

Don't worry, perhaps she came to check and be sure you truly work there. So please do not stress your self, all will go well.

Proof of settlement funds

Good day All,

Can anyone explain what type of proof of settlement funds are accepted?
Did anyone use home equity as proof of funds?
Is cash in the bank account the only form accepted? Can someone please clarify?

Thanks.

Re: Proof of settlement funds

Home equity will not be acceptable as POF

Hi guys! So i received an email from CIC a few minutes ago. It says my application is being processed and in order for a decision to be made I should send my original passport, photos and prepaid receipt to them within 30 days. However, they don't specify where I should send these items to. No address, nothing! Do they mean my visa office in Dakar? And what is "prepaid receipt" by the way? Thanks

They probably mean that you need to send a self addressed envelop that has prepaid postage/courier charges for them to send the passport and COPR back to you.

Congratulations BTW. Best of luck.
