Hi everyone,

I would like to thank everyone for their help and support. This forum is special. Other forums I've been on seem to always have trolls everywhere. I've found this forum site truly unique and everyone is so helpful and genuine. Literally, without the help of you all, I would have been lost!

Finally, please update my portion of the spreadsheet. COPR received: August 18, 2014. Landing: September 16, 2014. Final Destination: Edmonton, AB

Thank you again!

Marticus

No, nothing at all. Moving to Canada next week, looks like I will have to flagpole at some point, hopefully near future. How about you, have you heard anything at all?

Manila VO is on a roll, congrats everyone!! Now, if only the other offices can follow suit.

Just saw that there are a bunch of new forms on CIC's website. I'm assuming that applicants who already sent the apps out will need to provide CIC with the updated versions? If so - Is it smart doing that immediately or to wait for CIC to contact us?

do you mean updated forms or new forms completely? there is no need to submit new forms unless specifically requested by cic. if there are new forms added to the application, then i suspect any application received before those were added would be "grandfathered" in.

My bad, meant 'updated' instead of 'new'. (next to the forms it says Aug. 2014, etc). Saw that some people already got asked to submit the new versions.
Alright, I'll wait and hope that they don't ask for squat more lol. ;D

Thanks!

Thanks!

generally if people are asked to redo forms it is because:

a) the application was JUST submitted, and waiting for sponsorship approval, therefore cic needs the most recent published form
b) if the applicant's application is processing, the form they are requesting either isn't complete somehow (usually related to addresses and activity list), or that specific visa office requires an updated form (the most common request is an appendix a). Not ALL visa offices ask for updated appendix a's, so it really is best to wait to be asked. generally the request accompanies the ppr.

Congratulations rhoel on your PPR. I wish your application will be complete soon.
I don't want to be intrusive in your relationship but don't you find it unusual that your wife is not sharing the status of your application with you? Me, I'm always glad to communicate any changes in our status to my wife. Maybe we don't have the same kind of relationship.
