You did not receive sponsorship approval yet? If so, I guess you're behind the normal processing times.

Just an update, our file was transferred on June 26th 2014 to LA. Today we got a letter for interview to be in LA on october 1st. Also my wife's medicals expire mid november. Hoping for a good experience and will keep posted!

Hi there!

Just a small error on my portion of the spreadsheet!

JULY 28, 2014 "IN PROCESS"

(not August 5, 2014)

& further information to add:

AUGUST 8, 2014 "DECISION MADE"

I can only assume this is a good thing??

Thanks again,

Marticus

Congratulations! Hoping to hear the same from VO Manila very soon.

Yeah I have received my sponsorship approval Feb 26 and my wife her CSQ something like 30 days after. Now we are waiting for the status to change to "In Process"...

Hi,

New to this Forum. I got married in November and Submitted my Application in Jan 2014. It was approved and then send to the New Delhi Office on Mar 28, 2014. I got a UCI for my wife and been tracking the forum. On there it just says Application Received (Jan 2014) and Medical Received. Nothing else (No Process Tab). Is there anything i can do?

Visa office: CPC-Missasauga
Application Submitted: Jan 14, 2014. (Full application for me and wife. Included Medical and PCC)

its been 9 months since we been married. If i apply for Visiting Visa, will it complicate my application.

Thanks,
Abraham

nope, this is how the process works. once the application is sent over to the visa office, there is a significant amount of silence before anything happens. some visa offices work quicker than others. unfortunately, there is nothing to do to speed up the process. i think new dehli is still working on 2013 applications, so Jan applicants may start hearing soon. to track the progress of your visa office, i suggest going to the thread specific to new dehli

no i don't think so.

it's very difficult to obtain a visitor visa for a PR applicant. It's vital for the applicant to prove significant home times, such as owning land or having a full time job. it is assumed the visitor will not leave when they say they will because their spouse is in canada. while it's difficult, it is not impossible. forum members have reported recent success in getting a visitor visa approved.

Thanks, appreciate the reply.

I got today the set of GCMS notes for the applicant.
I was very glad to see that my wife passed the medical without problem. The doctor said she might have traces of tuberculosis but looks like CIC doctors are not of the same opinion.
The very best part of the 29 pages document is the notes part. The officer left the following note the day of PPR:
"INITIAL REVIEW Married within last 2 years. No eligible deps. Valid marriage. ID sufficiently established. Nothing to flag at this time. Meds passed. No adverse FOSS record. NBI + other required policerts - clean."
Looks good and positive to me. :D I dont think they will request interview.

Congrats! That's a very good sign indeed. When did you ask for notes?

I requested the day of PPR, July 14. It got generated the day after, they sent today. I wonder why so long time to send.

My guess is because some will request notes on a daily basis if it takes only a day to receive.

Or might be just staff resource issue - notes generate automatically on the day, but someone needs to physically scan them and since there are so many requests to fullfill, they take it until the limit day.
