If you have the file number, go to ecas: enter file number, the applicant's last name, birth date and country of birth. It should tell you when the application was received and whether medicals have been received.

You have a point. I just checked ecas - the sponsor part doesn't show anything but applicant's part now includes "medical results have been received". That wasn't there yesterday. Does this mean anything?

Hello nisargshah05, its SA or AOR? If its SA, if you can provide the date for AOR I could complete your spreadsheet entry.
I think the VOs are working today since the holiday (family day), is not Canada wide statutory holiday. Here in Quebec for example, people are working.

I am sorry. Its AOR

Thank you, your entry is updated. May you have a fast SA reply. :)

Thank you very much.. Any idea as to how long does it take for SA?

If you have received acknowledgement of receipt (AOR), the file number starts with letter F plus 9 digits.

Is it mandatory to include "Option C" tax document to the sponsorship application? Did all of you include this document? I would apreciate resposest this.

I don't know the answer for sure, but I do know of at least one person on this forum who recently submitted their application without the Option C printout, and got approved.

Hi O_guy,

I haven't heard back from Immigration as yet, but we submitted a letter instead of an Option C printout, detailing why we didn't have one. As I recall, it does say you need one or explain why you didn't submit one.

I guess the only excuse that doesn't work is "I was too lazy to get one" which they would see it as if you don't submit an explanation letter for why you didn't include it

According to our spreadsheet, people who already got their SA took 4 to 7 days after reception of AOR.

When we were submitting our application, I asked on the forums if it's ok to send without (we're applying to Qc, but someone said we have to get Option C anyway, because my husband doesn't live there currently. Apparently we don't need it, but oh well...) and some people had gotten accepted with a good explanation as said here already. We wrote an explanation that my husband hasn't paid any taxes in Canada since 2008 and provided some tax papers from the country he lives in like we got adviced on the forums. Ofc we probably didnt even need it, but better have more than too little papers, eh?
