Thanks, in ecas it's still showing my wife's Hong Kong address. Normally when does it change to my Canada's address?

When I changed my address to a Canadian one, it took several days before they updated the new one.

Congrats on your DM!

Wife got the passport back today and will be flying out next week.
Woohoo!!!!

Omg guys.... today we got a request for "original or certified copy of our marriage certificate" from Dakar visa office. I am just so glad that someone is actually reviewing the file. Woohoo!!!

Aniabella or other future Quebeccers,

Ottawa wants my CSQ and I have until 11/9, how long does it take and do I have to send it to Ottawa or does MICC do it? I'm kind of confused and I really, really don't want to mess this up or I may have to start over. :-X :'(

If you havent applied for CSQ yet, it usually take between 2 and 4 weeks to process. According to our January CSQ applicants, the average is 3 weeks. They will send you 2 copies, 1 for you and 1 for immigration. I suggest you courier the immigration copy to Ottawa as soon as you receive it to prevent any delays.

hi!
If I want to send my application for Sponsorship Common Law Partner I have to:

PHOTOS
Supply eight (8) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.

What does it mean?
Photos from me and my boyfriend and If I would have children?
... or do they mean from my family like my mother and father and sisters and brothers?

thanks!
:)

Thank you, I've never sent anything by courier, are there any you can recommend?. I just need hubby to sign one form and it's going right out.

no - it means photos for just YOU, the principle applicant. "family" means if there are others being sponsored for PR with you, ie: children. your parents and siblings are not being sponsored for PR, so they have nothing to do with the application and don't need to send in pictures. For family sponsorship, your spouse/bf is not your spouse, he is your sponsor. he does not need to supply pictures. these pictures are what will be used on your COPR and PR card.

For the CSQ I used Canada post xpresspost service. Its cheaper than fedex or purolator and you can still track the shipment. Depends where you are sending from. They are guaranteed tomorrow delivery between Montréal-Toronto so I guess its the same for Ottawa. For abroad, I always use fedex, more expensive but very reliable.
Its holiday here in Canada on monday so your package will not leave before tuesday and be received on wednesday.

Yup, I'm visiting Canada so my hubby can be with me and our son during the process and I was hoping to use Canada Post. I may xpresspost to Montreal for processing to as I have already had so much trouble with paperwork being lost.

CSQ is going out tomorrow, woot!!! Can't wait so my processing will continue. People who have recently sent this, do I have to send the CSQ to Ottawa when I receive approval or does the MIDI send it? Just so I know what to expect. There has been some confusion on this in other posts I read.

I believe you have to send it to Ottawa as soon as you get it. One paper copy in the mail and one scanned copy by e-mail is what I did to make sure they received it. I was even lucky enough to get a reply of my e-mail saying that they got it.

The quebec gov is suppose to send a copy but after 2 weeks, Ottawa still had not received it, so i took matters in my own hands.

Posted it on the Manila English page as well, but to let my fellow JAN applicants know: visas arrived yesterday! Wife and son on their way next month, so thrilled! Good luck everyone.

Wow great to hear! Congrats to you and your family!

Hi there!

I also got an update on my application. They started processing it on October 16th and requested a new police check (other one was expired). I'm hoping I get a decision made after they receive it. Fingers crossed!
