the application was received in march 2014 and a decision has been made on the applicant's application?

Yes! It says so on ECAS but we haven't so far received any notification by mail, email or even phone. it's been 3 weeks since "decision made " showed up on ECAS>Anyone else has the same experience?

Finally after all the issues, it says application received on eCAS and hubby has a file number and UCI. The file has been sent to Ottawa. Now they need the Quebec paperwork, woot!!! Just read the email today.

i guess it would depend on your visa office. on the ottawa spreadsheet, it looks like it only took 1 week to receive COPR. Perhaps you can call CIC and ask about it?

Another update from the Accra thread from a January applicant :)

iwodamiorie's hubby has an interview on August 15th, 2014

Wishing them the best of luck!

My husband is in US on H1b. His visa office is Ottawa-CPC. Is there any number other than the 1-888 one to call CIC.
Your replies are much appreciated. Thanks

no you have to call the call center, as the visa office doesn't supply a phone number. otherwise, you can send a case specific inquiry to the visa office. Those instructions would be on your sponsor approval or passport request emails. when was his passport requested? the spreadsheet indicates it can take 1-2 months from that date to get COPR.

Oh we haven't gotten PPR yet.. that was my question actually. ECAS status has already been updated to "decision made" since June 25th. But we haven't heard from them regarding next steps yet. On ECAS, it says one of the immigration officers will contact us shortly.
I have been trying 1-888-242-2100 to reach them, but for some reason, the call is not going through. It says check the number and dial again. I have already sent them an email inquiring about next steps but haven't heard from them yet. I am in US right now. Is that the reason my call is not connecting.
Thanks in advance

yes, the call center can only be called from inside canada. on who's information does it say "decision made?"- The sponsor or the applicant? (note if signed into ecas through your info, there will be 2 separate pages for information - 1 for the sponsor and 1 for the applicant.) I

it says decision made on both. Is there any number that can be called from US?

no, unfortunately not.

Do they usually update the status to DM only after sending a PPR?

No. Mine went to DM and I never got PPR, and I got my COPR in the mail a week later.
