Both me (the applicant) and my husband (the sponsor) are living in Germany. We had no problems ordering the GCSM notes, as long as your sponsor is a Canadian Citizen. A PR would have to be present in Canada for the whole process of the sponsorship, but in theory even PRs can make a request under the Access to Information Act while outside Canada.

The applicant needs to print and sign a Consent form (IMM5744) for CIC to release the information to the sponsor. Just fill in the application online, then at the end you will need to upload the signed copy of the Consent and a copy of either the Birth Certificate or Passport of the sponsor. You pay the $5 fee and you're all set. Just make sure you order the "Electronic notes in the file" and not the actual paper file. As for the address, you can put your address abroad, it doesn't have to be a Canadian address. The notes will be delivered by email (you can choose that from the drop down menu).

If they haven't received them, or the receipt, they would have contacted us during the sponsorship app process I believe.

Selfie selfie time!
I noticed recently that Zarilenth put of picture of her and her husband ( I assume) in her signature.
Since its pretty quiet now and we are all waiting for progress in our cases, Zarilenth's picture made me think that we could post here a pic of ourselves, or applicant-sponsor.
It would be nice to put a face on all those replies, and selfies is trending nowdays.
Of course, this is completely voluntary.
So here I go, I will break the glass. Here is a picture of me and my wife taken at Manila Bay, Philippines last September.

Hello guys im also jnuary applicant from philippines. My husband is.from Quebec. I just wanna ask it will take how long to get csq approval? How much is the csq fee? How are we going to know if our Csq application got approve? Are they sending us letter through mail or.send it directly to where my visa office is? Guys need ur help my husband and i really dont have idea bout this csq. Our sponsorship got approved last january but my husband didn't noticed that theres go that the cic-m sent hom through mail we just figured that out today. Does it cause.delay to our application since we haven't submit csq yet?
Please.need ur help and answer to all my questions. Thank u so much
