I got accepted for Concordia university for sep 2013
However need to defer it to jan 2014 due to personal issues
Now I am waiting for deferred admission letter
Masters in software engineering
IELTS 7
B.tech 74 % no backlogs
XII 82%
X 78 %
CAQ issued

I already got a scholarship ( master's winter 2014) at university of Quebec without IELTS & GRE. Because I have complete my bachelor (EEE) in English. i.e.. medium of instruction is in english. Please let me know is it necessary to give IELTS certificate in the Embassy to get visa??

note: i got scholarship 16.5K and my tuition is 14.5K per year

Hello Guys,

I will apply for Jan,14 intake under SPP Category. But I am not able to search any good course for myself which can satisfy my profile and future goals.
My profile:-

B.TECH (Computer Science)- 74%
Work Experience- 2 yrs as Software Engineer in INFOSYS Technologies
Multiple Project awards at Undergraduation

IELTS- 7 Bands ( R-7.5, L-7.5, S- 6.5 , W-6.0)
GRE -303
TOEFL - 96

I really liked the course -Information Systems Business Analysis in George Brown College, Toronto and it do satisfy my career goals.
But this course is for 1 year and hence i will get 1 yr post study work permit
How can i manage this? This can hamper my future Job and PR chances as well

Since this is Jan intake , so courses are limited in many colleges. Moreover , I don't feel any other college under SPP satisfies my needs and profile.
I CANNOT APPLY TO ANY UNIVERSITY IN CANADA DUE TO UNAVAILABILITY OF GOOD FINANCIAL DOCS AND ITR of my family.

Please guys help me out. I already serving my last month in Infosys. Can this harm my VISA chances?

Please suggest me some good course and college.

Which one is better among Sheridan and Humber...though I have applied for MS in Concordia and OTTAWA-CARLETON institute...but as a backup I am also applying for PGDM so I just need to know which one is a better option..?

I don't think that you need to give IELTS however check with some senior members of this forum who already got visa.
But if we go with visa requirement then IELTS is important
Check with other senior members

You can apply to university as well
Thete are universities where fees structure is not so expensive
How much is your budget
There are many universities which are charging same fees as that of college

My budget is 15-16 Lakhs which should be the one yr fee + GIC as per SPP Colleges.
I am very much interested in University but due to weak bank statements and ITR of my father I fear applying for Univ VISA which will ask for these docs. Is there any alternative to this?

Tell me one thing. I completed my BTECH in May,2011. Since July,11 to till date m working in Infosys.
I have already given my resign and Aug 10,2013 is my last date in office.
Can this have any bad impact on VISA chances? What is the latest date by which we can apply for VISA for JAN,14 intake ? I want to apply in Sept 1st or second week.

No it will not impact your visa
You can apply for visa anytime after august.
You can apply for education loan.
Rest is upto you.
You shud also consult with seniors members of this forum as well who alreadyhave got visa

Can you tell me in how many days approx we cud expect from them to rply us about our acceptance at univ ...aftr application successfully and completely reach univ.

I think the dealine for Winter 14 has already passed for Meng. in Engineering Management in University of Ottawa.

In this case even I am not sure. I am sailing in the same boat. I have education loan but I am not sure whether need to show bank statement or not. ITR is must bt not sure about bank statement.

In my case Acceptance from uOttawa took approximately one month once your file been considered complete for review.
Have you applied to other uni's? Also i hope u have applied in uOttawa coz the deadline has already passed.
