January 2014 Citizenship Application - Timeline

Thinking of reapplying, CIC agents doesn't give clear ans. One said app might be lost, other said can't tell. Not sure how I can utilize the fee I submitted with initial app.

That's where I am confused, should I wait or reapply. My firm wants me to take on a Secondment in MENA for approx. 2 years for a project in July-Aug, so every day in imp for me.

My app was received on Jan 06.

Hi

We are in the same boat. My app was received on Jan 10, 2014 and they cannot find it. No Ecas update or anything. I am thinking about reapplying as well, but think it is too soon. We are going to have problems with the fees we paid as well (since we paid a lower amount). The lady at the call centre told me to include proof of that payment an well and copies poving that I applied back in Jan 2014 so I don't have to pay the higher amount. BUT I DONT TRUST THE CALL CENTRE. I am afraid that if I send it with no additional payment, they will return saying I did not pay enough. And, if I pay the additional fee, they will return saying I paid too much. Either way, delays and more delays

My understanding is that call centre staff don't have up to date correct information. Every time you I called them, they gave me different answers. I am planning to apply next week.

When you check in e-CAS

Use the client ID to check (XXXX-XXXX) which is on the PR card and also make sure you typed your surname and the other details correct.

Just spoke with a CIC customer services officer who appeared to be a nice chap. He gave me full details of my application, received on Jan 9th (delivery date of Jan 06, shown by UPS online wasn't correct) in process since 18th March. Saved $200 fee from reapplying.

ECAS update may appear tomorrow.
