You do not need to wonder nor do you need to question definitions. This doesn't matter. What matters is what CIC require form you in order to determine your eligibility for PR.

I am currently working in Canada with a Working Visa and I applied for Permanent Resident as CEC.
I send the documents on January 8th and CIC received them on January 12th.

Hey guys -

anybody in a similar situation? I have 12 months of work experience on a PGWP (issued Feb 2012). However, my degree was officially conferred in May 2012. Should I wait till May to apply or will my experience from Feb to May count? Anybody applied in Jan with a similar timeline?

I am December applicants sent my application on Dec 12. My lawyer just informed me that my application was returned asking clarification on my Son's Birth certificate. They re submitted it with clarification..

Please clarify if i am now treated as January applicant ..or they will maintain the December Date...

If CIC owned the docs and requested for an additional doc, it is still a Dec submission.
If the entire package was returned and resubmitted, welcome to Jan 2013 club.

if we may know, what exactly was the clarification sought from CIC on your son's BC ? Was the aspect so grave that the application had to be returned ? sorry if it is too personal.

once u recieve ur Ecas online... then u can check... because i heared from somemany people in the forum that it will display date when ur application recieved by CIO.

I sent my application on Jan 29, 2013 and it received there next day..... . I do have a question. I have sent my application without pcc. I canot get PCC from indian consulate in canada as right now i am waiting for my workpermit and on implied status, wondering if i get PCC from India itself, will it be valid. Please advise
