Guys, I have a questions - ..

As we know post Jan 2013, the requirement for CEC will change from 2 years work experience to 1year work experience....So my questions is?

1. Is this new rule applicable to only new application?
2. What will happen to existing in progress application submitted in 2012 and have not yet worked upon ...?

cheers.

I have finished 12 months and 1950 hours of skilled work experience in accounting field over last 1.5 years in 2 different jobs, but my IELTS has expired already, my current work permit is expiring in 4 days and my SINP application is under process, however, out of those 1950, I have around 1500 to 1600 hours on post graduate work permit and rest are on my off campus work permit, I graduated in August 2011 from my school as per final letter of attendence and worked from september 2011 to April 2012 as a Bookkeeper for Toronto based company on full time permanent basis, from September 2011 to November 2011 I worked on off campus work permit having applied for Post graduate work permit in October 2011 and from December 2011 to April 2012 ( 3rd week) I worked on post graduate work permit, I moved to Regina in April end and currently working as an Accounting analyst for Regina based company from June 2012, 1st week to present, but my post graduate work permit is expiring in 4 days, I have well written and supported employment as well as reference letters from my both employers in two jobs, from my program coordinator in school and all my paystubs, Would I qualify to apply CEC based on proposed changes in January 2013 as I am very hopefull for that as my SINP application has 50-50 chances of approval ?

How much score I need to get in IELTS to qualify ?
What is NOA and would it mandetory to submit T4 and NOA, If I include all my paystubs, references and other documents ?
If I loose my job by december 2012 end if I don't get my SINP approval, Do I need to include relieving letter from my employer once I leave my Job ?
which is better to apply from India or from Canada ?

Your answers will be highly appreciated. Thank you !

Your IELTS score depends if your job is skill A type or Skill B. You can check the NOC for you job and from there check which skill it is, and later check the IELTS score you need.
NOA is a paper the goverment send you after you had payed your taxes. and yes they are mandatory, they want to see you were reporting your taxes.
I dunno what is SINP, but it's better if you could get your employers letters the most recently you can.
Your question about canada or India , I heard what changes is that you might be asked for an interview if you are outside Canada.

cheers.

Thanks Shad...I came to Canada as a student 2.5 years back and had 1 year post graduate certificate program, Now I have completed more than 1 year of full time skilled work experience in 2 jobs, each in Toronto and Regina in Accounting field and my NOC would most likely fall in B category. My current post graduate work permit is expiring on december 6, 2012. Can I apply under skilled workers category in January 2013 based on propsed changes of work experience requirement would be reduced from 24 months to 12 months and provided I have General module IELTS scores as I have already made 12 months of skilled work experience and can have IELTS as well ??

Thanks

With the new immigration website this morning I got pretty excited thinking this was it! New one year forms... I was wrong. New site looks good thou, well, better.

So the announcement we were all waiting for was made, anyone have any ideas to when the new forms will be made available, or will it still be the old one.

ALSO, towards the end of January, I hit my 2 year mark, is it beneficial to waiting to apply with 2 years, or get it in at the start of January now its only 1 year?

I think is better if you do it after January 2.

Speaking of , happy new year 2013. Hope everyone get his/her residence. I'm expecting to apply in the first week of January, keep in touch.

Only your work experience from your PGWP will count towards CEC. So, your 400ish hours from your off-campus WP cannot be counted

hELLO,

Please I need your advise. I applied under the wrong NOC (1121) last year and got refused after 7 months. However, my former employer who I worked with for 16 months have decided to write a new letter to match the right NOC which is for 1241. My title when I was there was HR Administrator.

Question: If I reapply, can I use a different NOC knowing that CIC refused me based on a choosing the wrong NOC (1121) in the past?

Does my Job title matter? Or the job description is what that matters?

Third, can applicants on postgraduate work permit with 1.5 years of work experience also apply as skilled worker rather than the graduate stream of 2 years of education as my education was only 15 month.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

You can re-apply using a different NOC code

Job title matters, but not as much as your job descriptions. Job descriptions are the most important!

Are you asking if you can send two CEC applications? one as graduate stream and one as skilled worker stream?

Thanks for your reply. could you please let me know what 1241 falls under. is it under Skill A, B OR 0 OR C.

Thanks.

I am 8) collecting my documents ready to send.

Just quick question, we just need a reference letter from your employment, correct?
Do we need a job description as well?
