Hi everyone! Just wondering how long does it normally take to get a PPR once ecas has changed to "in process" ? Thanks guys

It seems highly variable and depends on the officer processing your case. For many cases, it never goes to "in process", just straight to "decision made"

Woke up to this email today, I'm little bit confused what it means/how to send it?

Dear

Initial assessment of your application has been completed and your selection interview has been waived. You are not being asked to attend an interview at this time. However, until our office completes the processing of your application you may still be required to attend an interview for the purpose of ensuring that you are admissible to Canada.

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Police Clearance Certificate(s)
for: NEW ZEALAND Instructions for the required Police Certificate can be located online at www.cic.gc.ca.
You are required to provide this information before: 12 October 2013

So do I fill out the attached form and attach a copy of my passport? And can I scan and email these documents? Or do I need to send them via snail mail?

The letter should tell you how to respond. Since they are asking for a police clearance, it would need to be regular mail.

It's not technically a PPR, but I would include the PPR along with a note - here is my passport to help expedite processing. Generally if they are asking for a new police clearance, they are ready to issue PPR after they get the clearance.

You may also want to include proof of financial support. This is something new some VOs are asking for when they do PPR. (Ottawa and London for sure.) You can send in paystubs, tax assessments, savings, etc. I sent in copies of my husband's paystubs, another copy of his employer letter (to show same employer), and a screenshot of our savings account. If you aren't sure if your VO does this, check with the thread dedicated to your VO.

Hey guys I thought that I should share this.

Last week we went to check the e-case online and we notice that the status changed on July 15th. From received to "processing"..so yesterday it was suposably one month that they were processing the application for permanent residence. My wife medical was on October 16th so it's almost over. I wrote to the embassy in kyiv, (our VO). And asked if it's close to an end. They answered by sending the visa pick-up letter/passport request!

We are sending it today with FedEx.

So, I guess that when you guys are wondering if it's too long or something. It might be better to write to them right away !

P.S please add passport request August 15th ! =)

Am happy for everyone that has received good news from their Visa Office. Me too i got an email informing me about my interview next month and i was told to go with my passport. Should i be hopeful that after the interview i may get the visa soon?? How long does it usually take to issue a visa after interviews??

Interview means 1 thing - they are in question about your marriage being genuine.

If they are happy with your answers, they may collect your passport. They may also send you home with it and make a decision later. It will depend on the IO and how the interview goes.

Have you ordered your case notes? Hopefully you will have time before the interview. It's really important you find out WHY they want to talk to you.

Indeed they want to clarify something about our relationship but am sure its all genuine and am not worried to provide any information/proof required. Am just praying that all goes well after the interview.
I wonder how long it takes to get the results after the interview. Any idea? And if i pass the interview, how long does it take to issue a Visa? Please keep me in your prayers?

Also help me on how i can get to order my notes within the few weeks remaining to the interview?

Hey guys.

I guess the ones who didn't get PPR or COPR are feeling like me. I can't stand waiting any longer! I never thought this process would take this long...
Anyway, I've just gt my GCMS notes and i was wondering if anyone could help me to confirm if it means what I think it means...:

App Status: Open
App Status reason: In progress
Medicals: Passed
Elegibility Status: Recommend passed
Security: Not Started
Criminalty: Not Started
Text: Relationship seems genuine, and info/documentation available seems to support is bona fide. Would recommend to waive interview. Passed to VO.
Updated: 2013/06/05


What should I expect after this? Only security? The notes date from July 18th/2013.
