A month ago I received a new status on my ecas stating, 'We have started processing your application on 23 March, 2012'. However, there is no update yet. Has anyone experienced similar situation.

Any informations about mid January NOC2151 applicants?

As I know, the cap was reached on the 14th February, and on the 16th January there were 373 complete applications received by CIC.
Is there any NOC2151 Architect applicant who sent the application after January, 15th and got his app reviewed before the cap was reached?

I sent the initial packet to Sydney last year as NOC 7242, received letter stating not eligible because duties do not match.. I never knew they are going to be so crazy about duties.. I have 12 years of experience and have pretty much done it all.. I guess should have put exactly the ones mentioned in some list out there..I was unaware

So, now my question to dear friends is that -
Can I reapply under same category changing the duties, I can provide proof at a later stage if required stating that..has anybody done that?
or
If So which ones are the best option out there?

Please advise!!

yes you can reapply just change the duties....my friend did that he got the approval now...

Just to inform you, I have got my medicals done on 1 March, 2012. This may unlike most of the cases on this forms, were applicants get DM before medicals.

Out of curiosity, I am asking, what kind of BC they do. I have attached Police Certificate from India, and also from U.K. I guess, there are more particular about any past criminal record, I have none. They may also verify my previous work experience, I worked in an MNC, therefore, it should not be a problem either to get a response. I am currently a student, pursuing MBA from a U.K university, expected to graduate in July 2012.

Its already been more than 2 months that the status on my ECAS changed to the above. Don't know how long it may take.

means the timeline will be diffrent than the FSW,
But as per my info you will get passport with stamp between 6 months from medical,
the only logic behind this is medical is only valid for 6 months so mate..

You are right, FSW timelines are different from QSW. However, I have received CSQ way back, and my wait is only for FSW as anyone else. I guess there is some problem with the queuing system at CIC as, a friend of mine who is equally qualified as I am, got his PPR a month back.

A quick summary:

Applied for FSW on 2 Jan 2012.
Got medical request on 24 Feb.
Medicals received by the RNH Ottawa on 1 March.
Current status on ECAS: "We started processing your application on March, xx 2012"
Visa Office: Nova Scotia.
