thank u ladies :) glad that u still stick around :)
to travel during the summer and especially during Ramadan is almost a must for us (it's more like escaping); the night atmosphere is nice and it's really special time for all the Muslims and yeah i do miss the date season (i mean the fruits :P ) and the nice food our friends prepare but for us Christians is very hard especially for me since i'm new in that world; i always need to b careful; i hope by next Ramadan we wil b in Canada and don't need to worry where to escape anymore ;D
as for unbearable temperature in dubai nowadays is like 51 (celsius) super humid, living hell; so yeah there's no words to describe if u r not used; the good is that inside there's always ac (but they make it too cold)
aaa and actually we did get an email from the VO around 6 weeks ago, i was surprised that they reply to my email with file updates; i'm sure they have lots and lots of work (they said they still work on files received last summer) (it's small office and new) and our time will come sooner or later by next summer i hope!!!!

byeeeeee :)

Should be by next summer for sure! I am leaving in less than a month to return to Canada to live after nearly 9 years! scared and super excited all in one. My husband isn't following for another 3 months. :(

Must be a very interesting experience living in Dubai. What is your favorite thing about it?

Hi Pelipeli,

Hang in there , like i said once before the ECAS is really useless. My wife's was showing the same too. Anyways she got her VISA and PR on June 27, 2012. She is leaving Manila on the 23 August, 2012 to Vancouver and will meet her there.

All the the best to everyone.

Thanks Tony, updated the SS to reflect your wife's landing date. Congrats and Best of luck!

Pelipeli,

It is hard, but ecas means nothing. Of course it would be soooo much nicer if it were a real reflection of their progress, but I don't believe it is. Ours didn't say "in process" for about one week before we got the ppr. Surely they were doing something before that. Also, we had the ppr and it still says "in process"
Drove me crazy sometimes too ??? :(

yours will come soon

I got in process AFTER our PPR which in Mexico means visa approved.

And we still don't have any changes on ecase, it still says app received.
Even though they have been working on it for 4 months and have asked us for documents and such.
It ally isn't reliable lol.
