Just wanted to know if you received any request of any sort of further evidences or documentation after you sent you wife's Passport?

hi pooja,
if you have received additional docs request, it means visa officer is not satisfied with your relationship. s/he wants to make sure that your relationship is genuine, you should provide all kind of stuff to prove your true relationship like more recent photos, reference letters from parents, relatives and friends, airline ticket, if traveled together, phone bills, chat logs, emails and everything else that you thing can strengthen your case.
can you please share your timeline- when did you apply, when did your receive PPR and additional docs request?? ???

Application filed: 26 Jan.
Approval : 2 May
PPR: 18 May
My Husband applied for sponsorship and came to India after approval.
Now we have been asked to submit all copy of pages of sponsor's passport
and emails, phone bills etc between mother and sponsor.

no idea about dependent child case, but i think you still have to prove your continuing relationship with sponsor

no we didnt receive any request , i think its good sign as they working on your file .

I need to know few more things if u can guide me:

My Husband was in Canada just for two months and we sent the phone bills ,emails ,skype chats etc till the time he was in Canada.
Do we need to send phone details while my husband is in India or no?
Secondly Can you suggest any forum or link where we can find information about the cases of dependent children.
Does the local cic office after approval as a sponsor sees whether the sponsor is in India or Canada.Does presence of sponsor in India affect Permenent residence application

Permanent Residence status
We received xxxxxx' s application for permanent residence on March 8, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Will that give a clue that the application reached VO?

Yes, I think that happened when the file got transferred to the VO. The next thing to look for is the passport request.

Hi everyone,

It seems that our timeline is a little slower than the rest of you all. I am Canadian and my husband is American. We have an 8-month-old who's dual. We sent our application at the end of Nov and they received it Dec 30th. I got approved to be the sponsor Feb 20th. Two days ago my husband has been ask to go to Seattle Aug 13th for his interview and to bring our daugther's birth certificate and his passport. We all live together in Colorado and have been together since we meet. And we are all going to Seattle.

I am not sure what the interview will be about here. We don't exchange e-mail or what not. Any thoughts from the lucky ones who are already done here? She we bring more proofs althought it doesn't seem that what they are asking for... Isn't my TOO long term presence in the US enough a proof that we are all genuine?

I'm surprised they're requesting an interview especially when you have a child. I think they'll be quizzing him on you and the marriag. Make sure your stories are the same and that he knows the correct dates. Few people get called in for an interview. It should be fine though.

As far as I know, the medical results are sent to VO (as was in case of my wife). In our case, Medical results received started showing up almost two weeks after I was approved as sponsored. My deduction is that, VO office updates the medical results part after it receives the application.

I assumed like that earlier ..but.. I applied on March 8th, got the approval on June 4th (e mail) then June 6th showing medical results received. very rare chance that it will reach Sri Lanka that fast..
