file sent to india nd 5 may
ppr by chc new delhi 21may
till now no information from chc yet....i am very upset...still waiting....dont know how much more time it wil take

ask your spouse to contact local MP office in their area. they can contact CIC and tell you status of your application
OR
apply for GCMS notes, you will get all information about your case.

it can be anything, you cannot expect anything regarding CIC processes. it could be, background checks, your travel history, age difference, work history, past relationships or maybe something else. sometimes, they wait for 4-5 months and schedule interview after that. but i hope, there will be no interview in your case. you will get reply soon from MP and will get all information

Hi All

im needing some advice..

i had my spousal interview on July 24, 2012- the visa officer stated he was not 100% sure and would make a decision in 10-15 days after some background checks He did not keep my passport, and suggested we could mail it in as me and my wife have returning tickets from Delhi to London, UK for Aug. 2/12. On July 27, 2012 the status on our Ecas changed straight to in process and then to decision made.

Previously in June my wife had emailed the minister of immigration explaining that the time had exceeded 6 months and that because Delhi had my passport, i would be unable to attend the interview as i would have to travel from London to India. On July 27, 2012 we also received an email from the minister stating it would just be another 10-12 days and we would hear about the decision from new Delhi.

I don't know what to expect. Also at the interview the VO didn't take any of my documents of evidence. He just took my phone records.

I've posted a few times on the Buffalo 2012 applicant thread, but never here.

I (the wife, Canadian) am sponsoring my husband (american) and our application was received January 25th.
I was approved for sponsorship April 23rd.
and our file is "in process" as of June 27th. The file also said that our medicals were received as well.

I have a few questions, that I feel are quite silly but would really appreciate it if anyone can answer them.

1) how do I contact my MP about my application? As I have read in a few of the forums, that people are doing so? I tried to e-mail Buffalo through their website, but I keep getting a delivery failure msg back.

2) when and if they do request passports, do they send you an e-mail to request it? or is it by phonecall? etc?

they can ask you anything related to you, your wife, your families and your person life. they make a list of questions based on your application, if they have any doubts but if you know each other very well(past, present and future), you can go through interview easily and will be approved

Hey! no questions are silly, and that's why the forum is for, so no worries!

I tried to e-mail Buffalo through their website, but I keep getting a delivery failure msg back.here is the link with the name of all MPs. choose the one that corresponds to you and take contact and explain your inquiry, they should be able to help. Also - Buffalo office is closed and applications have been dispatched to different VO in the US so maybe that explains...

2) when and if they do request passports, do they send you an e-mail to request it? or is it by phonecall? etc? from what I can see, it's mostly by letters. but if your husband is from a visa-exempt country, then you won't be asked for the passport. They will send you the COPR (confirmation of permanent residence) to the address indicated in your application, and you can land with that (crossing the border is enough).

the ss for London is now "open for all to update" as Pinklady is quite busy for the moment. If you want to keep trakc of it - it's included in my signature. I put in your approval date already, and once you get news from London, you can add it... there is quite a bit of updating to do but we are getting there, and it's nice to see that some people from UK office already have the COPR... gives hope!

I know this is a little late, but I did not receive an AOR.
