Congratulations to all those receiving their sponsorship approvals. It seems like CIC is finally starting to move. Mine was approved on April 5th but I still can't access ecas. Is anyone else having this problem? I thought I'd compare notes with the good folks here before ringing the call centre. I really would rather not

I have the same problem too, couldn't logon ecas. I just checked (Wed. morning). Well, I think everything is ok, just wait.

happy easter, everyone!

got my husband's ppr today. i only passed by the local post office at around 2:30 pm to inform the postman in our area that we are expecting a mail from the canadian embassy, but to my surprise he brought out with him the brown envelope intended for my husband. the letter, dated march 23rd, says that manila vo received the file from mississauga on march 20th. it further required my husband to submit his & my son's passports, as well as appendix A. i immediately filled up the form and sent their passports. now, we're off to the last waiting stage...visa issuance!

thank you Lord for yet another blessing. praying everyone will receive good news soon, too!

Why did they want appendix a? This happened to someone in the mexico thread too.

Seems this is a pretty common request. Perhaps it is just a way for them to verify if there were any changes from the original application. Maybe this is an area people make a lot of mistakes on so perhaps just a way for them to get the applicant to double check.

Still haven't received my approval

Was received January 23rd.

Sponsoring my wife from America.

I just received my approval yesterday and I handed in my application 10 days before you.. SO after seeing my timeline.. I wouldn't worry too much yet.. you could call, perhaps they have a Client ID for you? that's the first thing I heard when I called... then after the long weekend I got my approval.. give it a try! You might here some news that someone is actually working on it

And Congrats Silverfox That is fantastic!!! I love this group. Too bad we don't all live on the same street we'd get along great! BBQ at my house hehe

look forward to hearing approvals for everyone and we get united with spouses at the soonest... but really sad to hear from srinivas.. that post PPR which came on 1st march..they havent yet heard on approvals.. i was thinking, will get to see visa stamped pp, very soon in this month... still, hopes on and fingers crossed!!!!!

I dropped an email yesterday to my MP about the long delay in visa after passport has been submitted to ND VO for over a month ( 5 weeks ) now.

Just got the reply from MP...

It reads like this...

Thank you for contacting XXXX's office. I am happy to assist you in inquiring about the status of your spouse's file. Please note that this file is still within the published processing time in New Delhi. I will contact you once I have an update on your file.

I kind of agree with what he said.. I also talked to my MP.. but I could prove to them that CIC-M was showing progress on apps far beyond their posted time. I hear some people say they get ecas notes or something like that? not sure what it is, how much it costs, how quickly you can get them?? Perhaps something like that will help you know where things stand? I can't really filter through our 119 pages, but I believe Amanda mentioned some website where you can follow your progress? perhaps if she reads this she can remind us? (Not sure if it was her though).. sorry to put you on the spot Amanda hehe.... That's the scary thing about the oversea V/O.... you don't really know what's going on.. just when something pops into your email mailbox, or old fashioned mailbox
