As january 2 is fast approaching, i am reluctant to submit my application on january 2 because of my notice of assessment. Do i have to wait for my new notice of assessment 2012? Or shall i proceed with my application submitting my NOA 2011? Thanks!
Most recent NOA at the time of application (feel free to write a note explaining that you haven't filed for 2012 taxes yet). You won't be able to complete your 2012 return until probably March. You should however submit pay stubs for 2012 to show your employment income for the year (this is generally why they request your NOA, to compare your earned income to what your employment letter suggests).Lonely planet said:As january 2 is fast approaching, i am reluctant to submit my application on january 2 because of my notice of assessment. Yes, your most recent NOA is requiredPaul_C said:Hey guys-
Do you always require an NOA to submit with your application? I haven't filled for tax return before, so does this affect me?
I have T4's, pay slips etc etc. I am applying in January.
Thanks
If I may ask, how long have you been in Canada ?Paul_C said:Do you know how I can obtain one if ive never filled for taxes?
I applied under CEC Graduate Stream and I was required to submit my NOC.Andy2109 said:I do not think that submitting NOA will be mandatory in the new environment of 12 months' Canadian experience requirement. Practically, it will not be possible for applicants to produce a NOA in such scenarios.

Until the NOA is available, submit the other documents along with a statement that you have filed your return (attach a copy of the receipt from H&R Block), but you are still waiting for the NOA and will forward it when you receive it.
