I updated my Diploma for '2 or more Degrees' last week hence why it shows 486 in my EE profile. My letter is wrong. Can I accept this?
Can you re post your ECA here again or the link to (any past post with your ECA) if you don't mind...would like to verify if 2 or more is the right one...again.

That would clarify a lot of confusions regarding ECA evaluations and degree selections for many on this forum.

@CanadaWeCome, don't know how to re-post past discussions, but this is why I chose '2 or more degrees or diplomas':

My Bachelors degree majoring in 'Accounting & Finance' was evaluated by 'University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies as 'Bachelors Degree 3 years or more'

and my Australian CA was evaluated as per the following:

Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution
Country: Australia
Credential: Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting
Year: 2013
Awarded by: The Institute of Chartered of Accountants in Australia - NSW
Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Accounting
Canadian Equivalency: Postgraduate diploma (one year)

Hence I selected because of the following:

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

I spy 'Postgraduate diploma'. '2 or more...' is the right choice.

PERFECT!!!

Nothing is wrong, your actual score (even the wrong one) is above today's cutoff...so go for it!!!

I personally believe if the scores doesnt go down below 450, it will be very bad for the international students.

For example an international student, who came in the year 2012-2013 to do a two year diploma from a Canadian Institute after doing +2 from back home.

Status : single
Age : 20 years :
Education : 2 years diploma from Canadian College
IELTS : S:8,L:9,R:8W:7.5
2nd Lang : N/A
Work Experience : 1year (Canadian)
Foreign Work Experience : Less than a year
Skilled trade occupations : N/A
Labour Market Impact Assessment:N/A
nomination from a Province or Territory:N/A

Can only fetch him about : 422 points
Suppose if he works for 2 years in Canada will fetch him 447 points
Only working for 3 years will make him land to 458. At this point he may get ITA that even if CRS is below 460. Which is quite impossible since no one gets a job on the next day after graduating from a college.

Now people who came in that period found themselves in between the old PR rule and this new EE after they spent atleast 6 months after graduation.
Yes I know some will say, this is CANADA and the Govt will decide what to do and what not to...but i feel this is UNFAIR

Anyways guess thats how the real world works ::)

If someone has more than 457 and believe you have not received ITA, check your main login page. There is a link to Continue Application or Decline Application. Or check your new messages. The application status changes after some time I believe.

Ok,so I got the ITA,but I cannot find any checklist with the documents I have to prepare/upload to my application. I only got a pre-filled form (from EE profile). Is this normal?

Yes.

Now it shows a save and exit button. Once you complete all sections there will be a continue button which takes to the upload page. That is your document checklist as required for your specific application. You can go back and modify the details in the application anytime before finally submitting it.

I did undergrad here in Canada and now I am working in Canada. With close to perfect IELTs score I am hovering at 444. With another year of experience, I will be above 460. I think its not too bad, however, yes, it was much easier before Express Entry for International Students.

1468 ITAs.

This draw confirms a few things.

1. CIC is definitely looking at increasing the number of invitations per month. Could go up from 3000 ITAs to 5000-6000. That is very good news.

2. The bad news is that the score couldn't drop below 450 (it went up by 4 points compared with the last draw, in fact) even when CIC picked up 4500 applicants in Jan '16.

3. If even 3 draws in a month cannot bring the cutoff below 453, that indicates a very healthy pool composition possibly because of PNs. Expect higher PN action in 2016 compared to 2015. Which is more bad news for sub-450 members.

4. The algorithm for draws is more-or-less confirmed. Watch the pool each week on a random day (Friday in '15 and Wednesday in '16) and decide the draw cutoff at a score where you get ~1500 applicants. Repeat 2/3/4 times depending on the number of ITAs/month target (3000/4500/6000).

5. The cutoff did not fall to 456 because there were presumably more than 132 people at that score and that would have pushed the ITAs to 1600+. CIC clearly wants to remain south of 1500 ITAs per draw - could be an indicator of their manpower availability.
Hi Asivad

As I am sitting at 446, I am not sure if I should be happy or sad about your analysis....
Do you think if CIC continues 3 draws a month, scores will drop under 450?

It has to breach the 450 mark if they keep pulling out 4500 ITAs each month. Feb will show if that's the trend.
