Hi nshakelly, do you mean email? I can't see any email?

I don't understand why people bother to reply to bestofluck. Whoever has spent some time in this forum would know what nonsense he spews in the forum.

Number 4 is about the internal algorithm at CIC. 450 isn't important and it never was. 1500 ITAs/draw is the key number. Or 3000/4500/6000 depending on the number of draws/month.

What is significant about this draw is that this is the 1st time ever that CIC gave out 4500 ITAs per month. And the cutoff never fell below 453.
Having said all that and CIC planning upwards of 3000 ITA per month this year on, please expect or beware of higher processing timelines from CIC unless their project management experts have appropriately deployed increased trained manpower to process these higher number of applications per month as an effect of increased ITAs.

Lets call that a 'necessary evil' and be at peace ;)

Yes, an email mentioning "MyCIC E-mail Notification" in my personal email inbox. Then I logged in to myCIC and I see my profile status changed and under the Messages section the invite letter.

Nice, didn't understand number 4 though!
I think since there were some rejections, now people are a little bit more cautious compared to early months in 2015. I think more people might decline invitations, and wait for the next draw. It is just a guess!
It means CIC will watch the pool and draw when the have approximately 1500 candidates with scores around 450. This draw at 457 means that there are most probably as many candidates between 456-450 that would push the total number of invited candidates beyond the 1500 range, presumably into 1600 and CIC likely do not want that.

NB: Not my thought or opinion, just explaining the idea already stated to the best of my ability.

Fairly accurate except for that 450 bit.

450 doesn't have any significance at all. The key is 1500 ITAs/draw. That seems to be the limit of their processing capabilities in order to have a 6 month TAT for 80% applications. The draw cutoff is a derived number.

For instance, in this draw the cutoff was 457 and there were just 1468 ITAs. I suspect this was done because there were about 82 applicants or more at 456 alone. Remember CIC has to issue an ITA for everyone at a certain score an above. If the draw cutoff were 456 today, CIC would've had to issue at least 1550 (1468 + 82) ITAs, if not more. And they clearly are in no mood to do that. Hence the decision to stop at 457 instead of 456.

I guess due to large number of applicants getting ITA each month they changed the processign time.

but we have to wait for this friday to get a conformation on this point too.

if processing time remains 15 months then it doesnt suits the name "express entry".

it will be normal not express process.

That was fixed, you can check again. It says 6 months for express entry.

Congratulations to All

It's remarkably acheivement; Your hard work, mix of dedication and enthusiasm has truly paid off

I am really unfortunate; I missed my IELTS in writting by .5 three times.

My fourth result is expected on 5th of Feb.

If I get 8,7,7,7

My score would be 470

Always got 8.5 8 7 6.5 in writting

Hi all, urgent questions I just got a CIC email, when I have a look at the email sent by CIC I am invited to apply and the break up is as follows:

CRS Human Capital Age: 88
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education: 120
CRS - First Official Language: 130
CRS Human Capital Canadian Experience: 40
CRS Skills Transferability - Education: 38
CRS Skills Transferability - Foreign Work Experience: 50

Total: 466

In my profile however it says:

CRS Human Capital Age: 88
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education: 128
CRS - First Official Language: 130
CRS Human Capital Canadian Experience: 40
CRS Skills Transferability - Education: 50
CRS Skills Transferability - Foreign Work Experience: 50

Total: 486

I updated my Diploma for '2 or more Degrees' last week hence why it shows 486 in my EE profile. My letter is wrong. Can I accept this?

Congrats for all those who got the ITA...Others dont give up hope :)
