The question is a little too generic can you elaborate a bit more specifically like are you asking based on areas or by month? The straight answer it always varies From 2015 onwards you can visit threads for Jan, Feb and Mar to see people who submitted their applications via the spreadsheet and they are progressing.

Hi Guys,

Can someone please advise how much time its taking for new applications. I heard new citizenship eligibility rule of 4/6 is applicable from Jun 12, 2015, any thoughts on this will be highly appreciable.

The average processing times are under 1 year (7 months to 12 months) for routine applications.

No one knows when the new 4/6 will come into effect.

Thanks, I had applied way back in early 2012, thought attorneys are knowledgeable but my attorney either deliberately to get his fee or by mistake miscalculated my physical days presence and applied with couple of months short. I'm been penalized for that blunder.

My file is stuck since then. Now I'm thinking of withdrawing my application and to re-apply. Not sure, if the existing system is OK or wait and apply under new rule (4/6).

On one side, there will be less applicants under new rules. Yet have concerns about the high IQ / efficiency level of CIC staff, they may take few years even to learn their own new system and process..... :-X

Finally file moved to the 'In-process' category:

AOR on March 3, 2015.

After 78 days of receipt of AOR, CIC Started processing application on May 20, 2015

Local Office: Saskatoon

File transferred to local office (scarbrough): May 19, 2015

Any idea how long it takes from transfer to local office to test in scarbrough office? Any idea how many days it takes in average or any thread about it?

It could be fingerprint request or any additional documents request or may be worst case scenario "RQ"

Not so fast tds69us ! I am the champion at the waiting game here ! It took me 85 days from AOR to IP. Not to mention that it had taken 88 days to get AOR. That is 173 days in total just for 2 steps, no one here can beat that ! :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D
