That's how their system works. I think they batch the data and it queues up and updates in few days.

If you look at my signature you will see that my file was transferred on 27th feb however the ecas got update on 6th March regarding the same.

I see. So how much time did you have between test notification and test day?

For me it was around 15 days. However some people get notification 1 week before the test and sometimes they get notification 3-4 weeks before the test.

I'm still waiting on a test date. No word yet on my end, so why not keep studying, rather than worrying? :)

Hi everybody,

Citizenship
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 8, 2015.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 23, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on May 13, 2015.

I have 3 questions please:
1- is it mean my application is routine or the might ask me for additional information during the process.
2- how long does it take to be transferred to my local office in Calgary.
3-how long does it take usually in Calgary office to invite me for the test.

Thank you,

1. During processing of the application, if you were asked for any documentation like fingerprints, additional paperwork, RQ etc, then your file will become non-routine
Read the following link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/cit-processing.asp

For Q 2 and Q 3 someone from Calgary can actually provide the information.

By regular mail to appear for test. And don't expect it too soon, your file transfer date is one day after processing started so don't compare your timeline to the ones whose files were transferred 2-4 weeks after.
