Thank you all for your quick response, what I was thinking or some friend told me , each day spent out of canada will be counted as two days, like lets if I was a way for a month it will be counted as two months out of country . . . is this true :'(?

Thank you once again

Definitely not.

That is untrue. Every day outside of Canada only counts as one day, and not two.

Also, any day trips you make where, as an example, you choose to head stateside for a bite to eat, or for a bit of shopping, as long as you come back on the same day, you don't have to count those days.

Hello forumees...
My ecas status updated to 'in process' today indicating that the process started on 3 March.
AOR was on 25 Feb and application was received on Jan 12.
Hope everyone gets good news.

No they don't have to make sure you are a citizen. You on the other hand have to make sure you don't vote illegally.

What you said made me laugh CanV.

Its like giving a weapon to someone who is unlicensed to use a weapon, and then telling them to shoot only when they get their license.

Guys am sorry to say you're wrong, actual its true that each day spent out of canada is counted as almost two days.
After using the online residents calc. I realized it is (1 to 2)day.

Couse, I am suppose to be eligible on August 21, 2015, (This is without days out of canada).
I was out for 76 days. . So from the date August 21, 2015 when you add 76 days it should take me somewhere November 6, 2015.
But the online calc is giving me January 22, 2016, this is the new due date, so when counting the days from Aug 21 to Jan 22 these are more than 76 days.

Well, I'll be glad to know if am wrong ::)

Hi habartani

If you are relying on pre-PR time where each day counts as half, then yes for each absent day you would need two days to add up to one. Because for an extra day as a PR you lose 1/2 a day from your pre-PR time. I hope that helps.
