I was wondering if its been the same for everyone? Just a bit nervous.

Thanks

Same as mine too.

For those who received their AOR by email, good to know there still an option to order a free hard copy of the reviewer aside from the download version. I ordered mine last week. :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, I have a question if anyone could help please. I'm a PR holder getting ready for citizenship application, my question is how to count the days out of canada, i've been away for two months And I was due for citizen application on August 2015.
Thank y'all

Use Online Residence Calculator

https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/resCalcStartNew.do

Just create you account, enter basic info like When u landed, when u came to Canada and when u want to sign application. Then put dates when you were out of country, rest it will all do the calculation for u.

As of current rule, u need 1095 days to qualify. U can change ur signing date to get the required number of days.

You generally can't count the days you were gone from Canada for purposes of determining when you meet the basic residence requirement. Therefore, if you were looking at some date in August of this year before you left Canada, then you probably won't be eligible to apply at this point until October of the same year.

You should use the Online Residence Calculator tool as Smile_Canada suggested, and if you fill in today's date as the date you'll 'sign' the application, it will tell you how many days you'll be short, so you'll have an idea of how long you'll need to wait.

Is everyone getting a letter from Elections Canada? or is it just me?

Even if its just me? Why are they sending this now? Shouldn't they at least make sure I become a Canadian first?

No they don't have to make sure you are a citizen. You on the other hand have to make sure you don't vote illegally.
