At least at this point, you know that your application was not returned...like ours...so you are in a better situation.

Did you receive the postal confirmation (online) that your application was received ? If Yes, then there is not much to worry about. I waited my AOR for 88 days while everybody was receiving theirs in our Dec. group. It eventually showed up.
Here is my theory: an agent is assigned a month, say December. He/she piles all the applications in small groups: A: from Dec. 1st to Dec. 4th, B: from Dec. 5th to Dec. 8th, ....T: from Dec. 27th to Dec. 31st. Then every morning, he/she picks one application from each of the mini-piles. If he works on 5 applications per day, he will pick one from group A, one from group P, and one from group T, etc. That would explain why you'll see some Dec. 31st applicants receive AOR before Dec. 1st or 2nd applicants. But he manages to pick one on every group before he starts the 2nd turn, and so on and so forth. And he has a limited assigned time to finish the entire Dec. pile, and then he will be assigned another month, say July 2015. If he finishes his work (AOR) on Dec applicants and there is no July 2015 yet, then he falls back to the backlog (2013, 2012, etc.). That is my theory about how they work based on my meager observations lol :D ;D

What a great theory! And thanks for the words of encouragement hgn and ScubaC. It HAS only been 37 days so far and I know others have had a MUCH longer wait. What is it about this process that makes patience disappear and worries multiply?? Lol. It's so nice to have a forum where we are all in this together :)

CIC has just sent me an acknowledgement of receipt via email on March 2nd.
