They check only the fees or the completeness too? :-\

Before evaluating anything, they check to make sure the application is complete that includes making sure everything is signed and the correct fees have been provided

For a six month old - I believe nothing. Unless you have to submit the babies application too. In that case I don't know.

I wonder if babies picture can make processing faster - Joking! Please don't try you never know.

I applied for citizenship application
Application received: jan 12, 2015

Hello. I'm new here, and I have just mailed my application in yesterday. I was eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship on the 15th of this month, and I dated my application for the 21st.

Mailing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Don't want to scare you but you dated your application as Jan 21 but you mailed it on Jan 20........... that could go against you ! May be other seniors here could add more into it

For being a day early in mailing it?

I had filled the application out, and paid the fees a couple of weeks prior to mailing it, because I have to maintain a budget, and to make sure it's all ready to go. Meanwhile, I was paid a day early so it went out a day early. If they ask questions, they'll get straight answers.

The date of them stamping your application on receipt should not be earlier than the date of signature in the application. If they didn't receive it on the same day then u shuld be fine.

mjh49783 - this should give you a relief caus ei am pretty sure your application would have landed in CIC office on or after 21st.

Yes, I didn't overnight my application or anything like that. All I asked for the mailing on it, was delivery confirmation, and signature delivery, once it's delivered in Sydney, NS. Canada Post says that it should get there in 3-7 days. Had I overnighted it, I could see there being a potential problem, though.

I've just found my original account from back when I was applying for PR outland to Buffalo back in 2011.

I am the same person as mjh49783 on this thread, and I will continue on as mjh49783aa. I apologize for the confusion. :-[
