I have sent citizenship application for my wife today i.e 3rd Jan 2015 by Canada Post express delivery.
But I paid only $400 on 23rd Dec 2014 only.

I came to know that fees got increased by $230; is there any way now to pay remaining fees + what about application already sent today ?

If I were you, I would asap pay and print a receipt for the difference $230 and attach it along with the copy of $400 that you already have and send in a NEW application NOW!
The direct link to the website is already down and I seriously suspect change in rules or in forms. Hope its false alarm. But don't chance with these guys.
Send a new one asap.

OK so that option is - Fee difference for Adult Grant of Citizenship - Processing and Right of Citizenship fees (if you already paid $400) - $230

Right ?

Hi there
We're exactly in same boat. I'm august applicant too. I sent my second application onDc. 31 with a cover letter. I'll call CIC tomorrow. If they accept I'll send the balance, otherwise I've to submit the third application. How did you pay the balance.
Keep me posted

Hi guys, my family (2 adults, 1kid) are planning to apply on Jan. 8, 2015. It is too bad for paying extra fee this time but we have to move on anyway. I have some questions regarding application documents.
1. My kid is around 3 years old (Canadian born) and just go to daycare. As they request school report for the kid, do I have to prepare some documents from daycare?
2. Which way is better apply as a family or individual? Is there any difference?
Thank you

My daughter is also 3 years old and she goes to Montessori; Principal only provided me a letter stating enrollment of child.
I have attached same.

Looks like the page was changed on 31st December 2014. See the bottom of the page (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp#crr) I would assume that all applications received before that would be the old $400 fee. I paid for my fees on 14th December and signed the application on that date. My application was received on 23rd December 2014 (FEDEX info) and hope they don't return the application and ask for more $$$. I tried calling to confirm but they have such a long call wait and will not transfer the call even to wait for an agent!

hi everyone! Planning to send my application next week

I just have a question; on section 6 B. says "When did you first come to live in Canada?", do they want to know the very first time I came to Canada? ie. when I came as Student for 6months? or when I officially landed in Canada? Thing is I have been back and forth between my home country and Canada many times and holding different visa status each time...none of these previous visits really affect my current citizenship application because they go back passed the 4yr but Im still wondering which date should I enter?

thanks

Yes in your case its when you first came to live as non-permanent resident, even if the days do not count. The residence calculator will figure it out anyways.

For the acknowledgement of receipt, do they send a mail to our mailing address together with the book etc, or we get an email simply telling us that they have received the package? Anyone knows?

From the forum i understand it can be either. I received the AOR and book via email

Application reached today Jan 7th
Individual app from Brampton paid with two receipts $400 + $230 but Sent together

The wait now begins

Thank you ;)

Well I only need to make the fees payment and my application should be ready to be mailed next week

Hi All,

I already meet all the requirements but lost my Record of Landing (IMM 1000), or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688). Not sure if I should apply now or not just worried if they return the application as incomplete without it, the application does say to provide a letter stating it was lost. I already applied for VoS in July so end of Jan will be 6 months hopefully it will be emailed on time so if all goes well I should apply on 28th Jan.
