Its Been almost 6 months no progress in my case

Hi

I received ITA on 26 August 2018 and post then CIC has cleared my medicals and rest of things are in progress. Even Background check is not started in my account. 17 April is the last day of 6 months. Does CIC take more than 6 months to complete the process or maybe it has started the BG check but hasn't mentioned.
I even send them a mail and ask them about the exact status of my case.

is anyone there who has faced the same situation.

They try to process most applications (about 80%) within 6 months, that does not mean the processing cannot go well over that time frame.

I would order GCMS notes. You might be stuck in review required.
