More applicants does not necessarily mean processing time will be longer, however few weeks here and there is understandable. But for your case, it has been too long.

You noted, you have added your spouse. I am guessing you added spouse later in the process. Can you give more details as in when you added your spouse? Also what is your NOC code?

If you added her along with the application, then there should not be any delay.

The only thing I can think of is, your file may require review from another officer.

Wait for GCMS notes. And try to talk to your MP.

Would talking to MP will help speed up process? I paid RPRF on Jan 15th and yet to get PPR.

It won't speed up the process, but you'll get an idea of where your application is at.

Hi there,

I'd received my AOR in February 2013, my ECAS status is still "Application Received", and I've not heard anything else from CIC since then.

Just wondering if I should be worried - do files occasionally get lost? I'd listed my home country as the Visa Office despite being in Toronto and am wondering if this is causing any delay.

Just applied for GCMS notes as well and will hope for the best.

Files don't get lost (mostly). But there could be an outstanding issue with your file. GCMS notes will clear it up.
