Would be better for her to apply when I reach Canada, get an apartment/address, then make her a letter of invitation to make the case stronger? Or I could say I'm willing to tak her in when I settle?

I think you should apply now for her(this way you and she both will have mental peace when both have visa). But you should take her to Canada later after you get settled. The letter of invitation is optional but if you go there and give it, it will make the case stronger, I think. If you have a relative in Canada then ask them to send you a letter of invitation.

u dont need apartment address for letter of invitation u can just say u r inviting ur wife to accompany and stay with u during ur study/work in canada. address will not make ur case stronger or weaker ur financial background is very important.

my wife has an uncle in alberta and we're planning to go to ontario. Having an invitation from her uncle with strengthen application?

I think it would. But it doesn't matter as the VO will know that she is accompanying You.

After showing my LOA, visa, and work permit, my wife's job experience, funds, employment offer upon return (staying with me for 2 years of study), her and my son's application has been refused. Reasons: prospects of jobs in country of residence, family ties in canada (maybe cause I don't have an address yet??), travel history.

Help?

If you can apply for CAIPS notes then do that to know exact reasons. I think you have cleared prospects of jobs in country of residence by showing the offer upon return but somehow they might have ignored it. Why would address cause a problem it has nothing to do with rejection do you have first blood relation in Canada? If you have then it might cause a problem. For travel history if she is out of home country most of the time then its a problem or if she has stayed somewhere beyond the expiry. Otherwise I don't see any problem. Did you include a letter or application mentioning why she is going with you or was a there a space for putting a letter for something like this? Did you add your marriage certificate cause its needed as they are accompanying you.

did u add proof of marriage /marriage certificate ?

Yes, we added marriage certificate. We're not in home country but born and lived here all our lives. Plus she's working and have an offer upon returning. We explained that she and my son will on stay with me during my studies.
She has an uncle who's a Canadian citizen but we didn't mention that or he made us an invitation cause he's in Alberta and I will stay in Ontario. What's with family ties in Canada maybe cause I still go there or have legal status?

Dunno why rejected, we provided all documents we could possibly think of. Maybe if I show lease agreement of apartment, fully registered at my university, and official student permit will increase chances of acceptance?

I am assuming you would try again after reaching Canada. Inform if you have succeeded.

oh so u applied from another country and u showed ties to that country and not ur home country right? I suggest u show ties to ur home country if ur applying again....job offer in another country is good but ties to home country r preferred. do u need visa for the country u applied from? did u add that document stating u are legally allowed to work in this country .
