ITA under FSW vs CEC

Apologies for starting a new thread on this but I don't think I could get the required inputs:

I have read quite a few posts of 5th draw where candidates who were eligible for both CEC & FSW got ITA under FSW although they would have preferred to get the ITA under CEC. My query is:

- What are the benefits (other than proof of funds not required in CEC) of getting an ITA under CEC rather than FSW ?
- Is it correct that a lot more documentation is required to submit an application under FSW vs CEC ?
- Finally, is it correct that for FSW I need last 10 years of work-ex references and for CEC only Canadian 1 year of work-ex ? Since it is difficult for me to get reference of my first job which was 10 years ago, is it better to remove that work experience from my profile since it would not reduce the scores.

Any official link for above inputs would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Even I am in the same category. I created a profile last week. I have around 14 years of experience. I am currently working in LMO based Work Permit which is valid till Oct 2015. Also, I got the ECA for Bachelor of Engineering Degree. I have one and half year experience in Canada. I have said I will bring no funds. With all, my points came as 992 and in the application/profile details it says I met FSW and CEC. I wish to apply under CEC because it would be difficult to get reference letters from my ex-companies. I have Appointment Letters, Experience letters and payslips for all companies I worked in home country. I can get reference letters from my current employer. But not from all of ex-companies.

Would you anyone recommend how to switch to CEC? Can I edit and remove my previous experiences. Is it okay to do so? I am afraid because in the confirmation message after creating the profile said, the application will be refused if I leave out important message intentionally.

"If we find that you misrepresented yourself (gave us false information or left out important details), we will refuse
your application. You could also:
- be barred from entering Canada for at least five years,
- have a permanent record of fraud with CIC, or
- be charged with a crime.

I helped one of my friend to apply for PR under CEC-EE. He was requested for reference letter from all his previous employers.
Anybody who applied under CEC confirm this?

Thanks for replying.

In my case, I don't want the points out of previous experiences (13+ years) except for my one canadian experience (1+ year). For my canadian experience, my employer have no issues and would be providing me reference letter. In the profile, if I add only canadian experience and remove all my indian experiences, still do I need to produce reference letters from all of my ex-companies?

Also, I have added two work experiences worked back in India for my wife? But no points came out of that. do CIC expect reference letters from spouse's employers as well? Please advise.

Thanks.
