Hello,

I have received ITA a month back but yesterday when I was going to start the process, I found out that I have to submit medical certificate and approx. 2100 dollar as fees.
I was under impression that after filling all information and uploading documents which verfied properly, I would have got a date to go for medical and then after medical is approved.

- Does receiving ITA means I will get PR for sure ??
- What after paying the fees and giving medical, I am denied PR then will there be a refund ??

Can anyone update me with the process as I am also in dilemma of updating CIC with pregnancy of my wife... Shall I do it before going for medical or wait till medical as she will not be allowed for X-Ray and then update CIC ??

In short, no.

It means that based on your information you provided in your EE profile, you seem to be eligible for PR. Everything you mentioned will be checked against the documents you supply, so if you made an error in your profile (or outright lied), your application will be rejected. Same if you don't submit documents that they ask for.

In addition, you can be denied PR if you are found inadmissable to Canada for health reasons or security reasons.

You will be refunded the RPRF fee. The application processing fee (cost recovery) will only be refunded if your application is returned during the completeness check. If it goes into proper processing, the fee will not be refunded.

Plenty of threads on this topic on this forum. Please do a search. Here is one example:

Thanks a lot "dan_and" and apologies for not reverting and appreciating your response. It was very helpful.
