Seems like your consultant is just trying to be a smartass. You can give test if you want but that's not mandatory as IELTS would be valid at the time of your application submission.

Now thats a bit harsh . That was not their intent tbh .... they have seen some cases in the past where applications have been rejected as per there knowledge and hence they were trying to be on top of things rather than facing rejections

Dear it's a good thing to have faith but blind faith is not wise. IRCC never ever rejects an application due to this reason. Those rejections must have been due to some other issue. Your age, IELTS and WES is all locked at AOR stage and this is itself mentioned by the case officer in your file.

There's no risk of rejection due to this. It doesn't matter what their intent is, rather, the fact that they are consultants and are ignorant about this is worrisome.
