Hello Friends,

I got an Invitation on the draw of 22nd Dec 2016 and my Current CRS score is 477 points.
But I have a query regarding the CRS score in my profile.

I came to Canada for work on 15th Jan 2014 , hence I will complete my 3 years work experience on 15th Jan 2017.
But in my CIC profile , the points related to the experience automatically got increased by 10 points on 1st week of Dec 2016 ( Earlier my CRS score was 267 considering 46 points for 2 years
of work experience), but 10 points points got automatically added to my score because of experience and my CRS score became 477(i.e 56 points for 3 years of experience was added automatically by the CIC system).

In the profile I have give my experience start date as Jan-2014 and there is no option in it to provide the day. Hence I am not sure whether it is a flaw in the CIC system
which automatically calculated the experience to 3 years in Dec 2016 and added 10 points to my profile and made the CRS score 477.

Please suggest what should I do in this current circumstances , should I Reject the Invitation and wait for any draw after 15th Jan 2017 so that my work experience will actually be
3 years in that case or should I accept the invitation received and proceed accordingly.

Any response will of great help to me.

Nobody is sure what to do in such case.
I've heard so me people say apply after Jan 15 in your case when you complete 2 years. I've heard some visa officers check the CRS score as per the date the ITA was issued and reject the application.
Call cic and ask their opinion.

Let me be the first person to break this bad news to you that you shouldn't accept this ITA as you can't claim points for something which you can not prove.

Yes you are right. But that means there is flaw or bug in the CIC points system as it is the system which is making this calculation and increasing the points automatically.
This is really surprising !!!!

I also got an ITA on December 22, 2016 in CEC. I have a query regarding previous work experience. Do I need to provide a previous work experience letter while I got ITA in CEC. I'll appreciate if one can provide information in this regard.

I am in a big problem and i request you to please please help me.

I got my ita on dec 22

I changed my password for the gc key but later messed it up and then when i go to forgot password then it ask me to enter the ans for the password recovery security questions which i set up 2 years back and have no idea.

I know i should have kept them somewhere.

Everytime i try now, i get suspended for 24 hrs. Its been 3 days.

The time to submit my application is running out.

What can i do?

Will i lose my ability to apply for p.r?
Can i create a new gc key n link it with the old one? If yes the. How is it done n how willl the system know its me?
I have tried everything and at this time nobody is able to guide or help me. I am losing all hopes.
I have waited and sacrificed alot for this ita and dont wanna just let it go.

I still have some doubts about my offer letter that I am carrying, may be any one of you can answer.
After the Nov 19 changes they included offer letter that are LMIA exempted.
I have my offer letter that was provided by my company for work pemit extension(LMIA Exempted) for other 24 months(Jan 2019).
Will this offer letter be fine, as it has all the details required by CIC and also its valid for 24 months assuming I get my PR in max 1 year.

Question 1. In order to extend your work permit did you not needed a LMIA from your company. Would you be able to tell me what letter did you submitted to CIC in order to extend your work permit.

Question 2. After the changes made on Nov 19, regarding arranged employment points how do we get 50 or 200 points from CIC? Do we have to provide some kind of proof.

Please guide me with these questions as my work visa is about to expire in 4.5 months.

Hi.. you must be having an employer name on your work permit if you want to gain 50 points... Your employer must apply for Lmia once your Lmia is approved you can apply for work permit and gain 50 points... check the link below

hi abhi I am presently working for cibc on open post grad work permit.
You mean to say open work permit working is considered valid offer letter?

and can I use it for work permit extension

Let me be the first person to break this bad news to you that you shouldn't accept this ITA as you can't claim points for something which you can not prove.

This is not a system bug or error. CIC system counts month to month. so if you start work in January in respective of the day it will be read one year by the first week of Dec as the system sees it as 12 months = 1 year.
This same mechanic is used in Linkedln. so go ahead and apply asap so you can use your AOR to apply for BOWP since your permit will soon expired.

Congratulations to one and all!

Me too got the ITA, but am not understanding whether is it under CEC or FSW as I met both of them.

Currently am working in Canada, so do I need to assume that it's under CEC itself? Or is there a way to findout?

Also, I've other doubt, while filling the PR appl form, related to funds bringing to Canada, do we need to give zero as I'm already working here or is it my salary or let me know what you have given.

If you read your ITA letter carefully, you will see the class you were nominated on. Also with the new rule if you meet both CEC and FSWP the system will nominate you under CEC automatically because prove of funds.

Hi Guys,

I am in a situation.

My Scenario:
I was on a PGWP and it expired OCTOBER 30TH, 2016
Sept 23, 2016 - I got nominated by AINP
Oct 14, 2016 - PR Application sent
Oct 25, 2016 - BOWP application sent without AOR
Nov 28, 2016 - Application returned as incomplete, missing open work permit fee.

At this point, I am now OUT OF STATUS.

Dec 21, 2016 - Work permit application/Restoration status application submitted with same employer
Dec 22, 2016 - ITA received through express entry

so my question is, can i apply for PR via express entry while out of status? I plan on having two PR Applications in at the same time. Hoping to cancel the one that takes a longer time to process.
