Hello Guys, consider me as your friend :) :) :) and help me out.... tell me whats best....

I am working in Quebec right now... studied masters in engineering, and working as Jr. Electrical Engineer in a stupid company... no work at all... and they pay me $18 an hour for sitting idle... but my career is getting wasted... French is always a problem for me here... So I decided early this year to move to Ontario.. I thought i will get a job by now, but i was not able to... Now i got an ITA (Dec 22nd), my points is 495 and have 90 days to apply... I am confused what to do...

I have signed a lease here till April 2017, and to cancel the lease i have to pay 3 months rent...rent is $700 a month... If i resign my job here, and move to Ontario on March to apply for express entry, i would loose a lot of money... $2000 gone just like that, and i have to pay rent in Ontario... but my express application would be safe, as i have proof that i moved to Ontario.... or the other option is quit my job in feb, stay in quebec until the lease gets over in April, and apply for PR in march... i have proof that i left my job, but i have to tell them that i am staying in my sisters place in Toronto and searching for job... and other option is to decline my ITA and hope that i get an ITA in Feb... so i can quit my job in April and my lease gets over in april and move to Ontario in May 2017 and then apply for PR....

What you think is a good option... I have no friends to ask advice.... My PGWP expires on Sept 2018....

Hi friend,
I would stay until the the lease is done, as the score is good, you will get ita for sure, unless you have to rush for something which you didnt mention here :p

If WP is not an issue, I would decline ITA and wait till March, April to Get another ITA. with 495 you will get ITA in almost every draw so that's not a problem in your case.

On the other hand providing proof that you will move to ontario seems difficult unless you quit job and lose money on lease.

Thanks for your reply guys... I am so thankful for your opinions... :) :) :)

Is it OK to decline my ITA now and in the future draws till Feb last week... or any chances they would cancel my application as i am declining all the ITA's...

what if the points go high next year, and i never get an ITA... I got 495 only cause of changes, my points was 465 before....and was waiting for ITA for 10 months.... now just little afraid to decline invitation... if you guys tell me its safe.. i would decline...

As a good human, let me tell you 1 thing what I will do, you can agree or disagree, upto you.
If I know I am not available for post ITA submission until Feb/March/April, I would not include myself in pool just to decline each time the draw comes, this gives chance to some other candidate who could have got an ITA but didnt just because you got it and declined.
Please give someone else a chance if you know you are gonna decline and come back to the pool when you are ready.

To be honest i understand how you feel about declining an ITA for me and i guess everybody on here it is a BIG DEAL , but with a score like yours and you have alot of time on your PGWP i would say if you decline your invitation now you will get an ITA easily in future, However, that being said if you decline it now since i guess there will be a draw in the first month of january and with your score you get another ITA in jan then you would have to decline it again . so i guess , don't decline it yet get your documents done like PCC, medical etc also keep hunting for jobs go hard on 'em ;) and if you situation is same until/after the first draw of jan then decline it as you will get it easily in following draws. Also keep in mind you loose points for your age as well after 30 i think it is around 5 points or something . cheers ,

You don't need to decline every ITA till then. For this ITA you have time till 23rd March, so decline around 20th March. And for the next ITA you will have another 90 days to accept or decline.
That way you would decline just one or may be two ITAs.
And with your score you will get it definitely get it again and again.

I am not sure what the application form looks like for inland candidates but where does it say that you have tell them you intend to move to Ontario? They do ask where you intend to reside but it doesn't require lots of details? Also, I don't see why you cannot file your application in March and then move in April. You can update CIC when you move with a change of address. While your score is good and you will probably get an ITA later, I see no reason for you to decline if you have everything you need to apply now. Unless by saying you will lose money, you're saying you won't have POF.

Since you are residing in Quebec ,CIC may ask your intention to live outside Quebec as express entry is applicable if you want to live outside Quebec. So better to decline ITA after 75 days of receipt .This way you can manage the lease period . You can apply for jobs in Ontario and move early if you get a job
