ITA received before OINP application sent

Hi everyone,

I'm a new applicant for Express Entry (Federal Skilled Workers stream).

I applied and join the EE pool on the 22nd of September.

I was surprised to get an expression of interest to apply for the Ontario International Nominee Programme a week later. I had a little sticker shock when I learned the application fee was CAD$ 1500 , but I reasoned that the extra 600 CRS points would boost my chances of getting an ITA.

So I was in the process of putting in my application for OINP and guess what? I received my Invitation To Apply last Friday.

So the question I have is this:

Should I apply for OINP to get the extra 600 points or go ahead and apply based on my existing EE profile?

Any advice would really be appreciated.

You have already answered your own question. Why are you still thinking of appling for OINP when you have already gotten ITA? You will still get the same ITA after paying 1500 CAD for OINP. You have 60 days to submit all your documents to CIC. If I were you, I would have already started gathering my documents.
