one time they have asked me for my son birth certificate. Which I uploaded again. (I don't why they have asked for it, as it was already there) After that no document is demanded ever. I am applying direct.

Yelena has a valid point - this $70 could be currency differential. Have you checked your MyCIC yet? Any messages in there? Is your application status Closed or Open?

As far as I know, the only case when they're refunding the application fee is if your application didn't get through the very first step - the completeness check.
Could be they have decided for some reason that your application was incomplete - maybe that was when they requested the additional documents from you, and then for some reason didn't get your uploaded document.
I suggest you ask them if they got the birth certificate via a CSE, if you can.

You need to find out what happened with your aplication. Is it indeed cancelled and why.
send a cse and ask for clarification.

Did u get any refusal letter?

Madra login to your myCIC account and check application status as suggested by others. Then tell us what you see there?

CIC rejected my application. They have mentioned the reason that dependent birth certificate not attached. but it was already there. Then I have raised the cse also but again they said we will not consider it now. Apply fresh create a new account and wait for draw to come

@Madra, as far as I know CIC doesn't ask for birth certificates of Primary applicant or spouse. By dependent you mean, CIC was looking for birth certificate of your kid ?. Was it mentioned as a required document in your post ITA personalized checklist ?.

Whatever the issue, CIC could have raised a document request rather than rejecting the application . I really feel bad for you my friend.
