I got ITA invitation in October 2015. Within time limit I have successfully applied and paid the fee. Now after two months of lodging my file my ITA fee is refunded back in my account. What is the meaning of this.

How did you make the payment? Did you send in a cheque or paid it online while submitting the application? I can only think of 2 reasons, either your application was rejected for some reason or you made a wrong mode of payment (personal cheques are not accepted).

What is status of your application ? If it is still active raise CSE ...

Hello,

So they refunded whole money or just landing fees??

I submitted the ITA application fee not landing fee. It is submitted online while filling the application. and $70 are deducted rest is sent back. Can anyone suggest me what will be the reason for it.

Check status of ur application on MyCIC. If its still Open then raise CSE. As someone said earlier there are only two reasons for fee return (unless its a technical fault)

Even if case is rejected fee should not be refunded as it is clearly mentioned that the application fee is non refundable.

Check with your bank/card company. The $70 deduction is suspicious, doesn't appear to be CIC refund.

I have checked my bank statement. The refund is from CIC only. why they have deducted $70 though.

CIC doesn't deduct $70. What does your MyCIC show?

are you shure this in not due to conversion?

when I got my fee refunded, it was missing some money and it turned out to be due to conversion from CAD to HRK.

if the aplication is rejected early in the process., fees will be returned to you. Mine was rejected in the first month and I was given a full refund - when converted back to my currency I was missing some money, but this was due to conversion.

+1 @yelena

@madra. Yelena appears correct, $70 might be the conversion fee or currency exchange rate difference or some bank fee.

Did CIC ever ask you for any additional documents or just they simply refunded the fee ?

You need to provide more details about your case before forum members can suggest you any possible (hopefully) workaround. How much work-ex you claimed ?. Are you PNP or direct ?. Did you submit ALL the Police certificates ?. What is the status in myCIC now?

one time they have asked me for my son birth certificate. Which I uploaded again. (I don't why they have asked for it, as it was already there) After that no document is demanded ever. I am applying direct. I have more then 5 years of experience and submitted all police certificates.
