I have the AOR which I got immediately after submitting the application. Right now it is Medicals passed and everything else in progress and review. I need the eligibility pass receipt. Only after I receive that I can apply for work permit extension.

Thanks

I think you can apply for bridging work permit if you have AOR -
When you submit your application, you must provide all supporting documents listed in your document checklist. You must also include a copy of your Acknowledgment of Receipt letter from CIC.

because the eligibility may never show pass even after you get your PPR. :-)

Oh Wow. Thank you so much. I just didn't know about this. So I think I can apply right now. So I can apply online for the bridging open work permit and include all the documents under checklist under the LOA section right? Did you yourself do this already?

Thanks

I have not done it myself as I have work permit until 2017 but it clearly states on the CIC website.

Hello everyone,
I got AOR yesterday and today there's a ghost email, any relevance?

I have a query regarding travelling after AOR. Can I travel to the US for a weekend, after I get my AOR? Will I have to update this to CIC if I did travel?
Any comments/suggestions?

Thanks

You can travel and there's no need to update CIC after AOR.

Sorry, can I travel even after applying for the BOWP?

we have similar timelines for EE - CEC applcant and AOR - 14/15 dec ...
let me know if you get any updates from CIC

I'm not sure about that but as Long as you have a valid work permit it shouldn't be a problem.

Nope nothing yet. Waiting game on! :) and am deciding if I should apply for BOWP or not an wait until March. My work permit expires in May. Trying to save money but thinking of it is risky. ::)
