Thanks a bunch Andre_Smol. You Rock! 8)

You are welcone.

Just out of curiosity, how far along are you already? Have you submitted your profile and are waiting for ITA or are you still working on your EE profile at this point?

Oh, I received my ITA on 27th Nov with 472 points, which brings me to this group. I have gathered most of my documents and trying to sort out the proof of funds documents currently. Any questions you have regarding the stuff so far, please feel free to check with me man. I will try to help in any way as I can.

EDIT:
Okay, I just saw your timeline thingy :D and found that you're far ahead than most of us. So, my offer of help wouldn't be much of use.
but anyway, Congrats and hope the rest of the process works out quick for you!

Hello Gego,

Yes, I have an ITA and I am just almost done with my application except the photo. I have my photo in pdf and I am trying to convert it to jpg. The site says:
The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the common output for most digital cameras.

Now how do I get this in this format?

Thanks

I asked my photographer to send me the photos on that format with these dimensions. You may do the same or scan your printed photos at 600 dpi resolution and save it as jpeg.

I will ask the photographer to send it I think. My attempts are going all over and I don;t know if am doing the right things.
Thanks again

Do your best mate to get it as per the specs.
You are mostly welcome. Best of luck

Applied on 11 Dec, got AOR on the same day and a ghost email the next day, not sure what is happening. How much time does it take to get ECAS access generally.

Congrats, Wishing you a quick and successful processing time.
I applied 12 Dec, and I got an email that my profile was updated. I found that my application status became opened instead of invitation received. Did you experience the same?

Thanks and congrats to you too, yes my status went to Open too.

So.... Please tell me, has anyone who got the ITA on 27 Nov still not submitted their application?
I haven't yet, and wondering if Im the only one who is being so slow.

I thought I was well prepped but this travel history and address history took ages.

So let me know if you have not submitted yet, and what is holding you up.

Don't know if this method will work quality wise, but a trick that ive always done to convert anything on screen to PDF is to open it up and hit the Screenshot key on my laptop, and then paste it into MS Paint, or alternatively, on a Mac, just hit SHIFT + CMD + 4 and select what you want to copy from your screen. Then voila! But.... quality wise I dont know if its good enough for the visa, it might be worse, it might be better, no idea.

I have already submitted my application in an earlier ITA round but I also usd up most of my 60 days to get everytjing ready.

In my case, it took me a while to get one of my former employers to send me the reference letter with all the information I needed. Had to contact them a number of times until they finally got it all done and cost me probably at least 3 weeks.

Hello friends, has anyone had a same issue?

On my PR application there was a secrion to upload my transcript for education, in the process of uploading other documents the transcript section disappeared...

Feel free to share tour thoughts...

PDF to JPEG or the other way around!

Hello redfox05,

I got my ITA on 27th Nov as well. I'm in the process of getting my proof of fund papers at the moment.

For everyone else having trouble with pdf, jpeg and all that technical stuff, here is the one stop solution for all the conversions:

freepdfconvert(dot)com

You can use this website for all sorts of conversion by retaining the original quality of the scanned file. Please do not use techniques like screenshot or MS paint as it will render the image in low screen quality(72 dpi).

Trust me. I'm a professional Graphic Designer/Technician 8)
