It seems Canada post has lost my package to Missisuaga

Hii,

I have sent spousal sponsorship file through Canada post from Edmonton to Mississauga on April 9th through Xpress post .....on April 10th online tracking shows it was in local delivery facility in Mississauga.....since then there is no info what happened next.......I called Canada post many times and finally after investigation(10 days) they told me that they haven't figure out anything and file might have been delivered or might be lost...... This is giving me sleepless night because of the private content of the file........CIC told me that they can't tell me at this point if they have received my file or not.............so stressed now and can't focus on study and I have exam next month.........

There's a very good chance that this was delivered, because Canada Post's tracking system is pretty pathetic.

Many people here track parcels that show `Out for delivery' for days, when in fact the parcel was delivered on-time.


Unless you suddenly receive it back, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I would agree with Ponga,Canada oost is terrible for keeping up its online tracking system . I paid for a signature and I never got one, when I asked why they said sometimes someone will just come and get it from the post office box .. They have no idea what they are talking about . Hold on tight just like Ponga suggested and wait to see if it is returned. Cic won't go and look for it at this point as its to early.

It happened to me as well.
They took about 10 days or more to send mea signature and update the track system.
Also I asked for a refund and they gave me.

Mine was delivered on Feb 6 and cic can't find it in the system at all so I think mine is lost somewhere in the building .. I've not been able to eat , sleep, concentrate or anything.. I've been a total mess...I called my mp and there looking into it for me.. I just have a bad feeling about it...

We had the same issue, Canada Post told me that CIC offices that process applications are 'bulk receivers' and they often just throw everything going there into the one delivery even if it's requested signed for so tracking is rarely updated.

This makes me want to drive to CPC-M and deliver it by hand...

I sent mine around same time, but it shows it was delivered but with no signatures.
