IT professionals not eligible for Skilled Worker???

Hello, I am a software engineer (NOC codes: 2147) and my application was rejected. The reason they gave is that the occupation "was not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008":

Only occupations included in the following list are eligible???:

0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers
0311: Managers in Health Care
0631: Restaurant and Food Service Managers
0632: Accommodation Service Managers
0711: Construction Managers
1111: Financial Auditors and Accountants

2144: Geological Engineers

3112: General Practitioners and Family Physicians

FSW is mainly to filter out un-necessary clutters at the local visa office.So that's the only reason they have come up with the NOC list. Please do go through the list with primary job duties or responsibilities of your profile, i am sure u will fit in somewhere in the list....

Stop not till the goal is reached..

No any IT persons. Only relevant one is '0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers', but i am not a manager!

They added categories to the skilled worker program to make it harder to qualify. If you don't fit on the list of 38 most wanted, you need to either have a job offer from Canada or already be in Canada for a year or more on student visa or work permit.

It is not requited that u must b a manager.designation is not a factor.

But keep in mind u must have to fulfill almost all duties of noc 0213 .

Also u have to show decision making role for getting success in noc 0213.

I think this will help u a lot for next step.
